Make sure the line is wound in the right direction.

My Black & Decker Reflex Strimmer GL570 does notautomatically feed out the line.

disassemble the string part and clean it,,, it is common for them to get gluped up and not feed. All so make sure you have it wound the right way.

I have a black & decker gt701 strimmer. i recently replaced the line on the spool but now it wont feed, ??

Remove cup from bottom of unit by depressing 2 detent tabs and pulling away from unit.
Replace empty spool with new full one or wind on aftermarket string. Wind in direction of
arrow on spool. Make sure spool is seated on rachet firmly.

Hi Bill,
If you turn it upside down you will see the strimmer head. You should be able to remove the protective cover which will allow access to the string cassette. The rest is self evident.

Do you mean that the string keeps feeding as you try to operate the trimmer?

If so, you are winding the string on the spool the wrong way. Put the string on the spool in a clockwise direction. This should do it.

Go to Homebase, B&Q, Ebay or your local hardware shop and buy a new spool, ALM part number BD032.

If the line keeps getting too long, it's because swivel 14 in diagram 7 was in the wrong position when you inserted the spool - just move it to the ouside position, re-insert the spool and away you go. Frankie.
