The holes in the oven liner are probably to large for screws to grip. You can try larger self tapping screws . a new plate wont help.

Flavel milano e60 how to fit new fan oven element that is riveted

That is complete RUBBISH the screws are accessible from the rear of the oven. At the back remove the screws holding the plate and you will see the element housing. Remove the two screws and the spade connections. Get someone to hold the new element in place for you and attached the screws. Fiddly job so be patient. Connect the spade connections and replace all plates front and rear. Should be the job!!! Someone hold the element in the cooker whilst someone connects at the back. Whatever you do, DON'T TAKE A DRILL TO YOUR COOKER!!

Can you replace oven element, cannot see any screws in oven to remove plate to gain access

You will have to remove the oven from the housing, and then remove the rear cover of oven, and gain access to the securing screws for the element from the rear of the oven, you will see how it is fixed once you remove the outer panel of oven

Zanussi built in oven and grill the element has gone but dont know how to get element out to replace any ideas thanks

Hello,
If you mean the fan element then take all the racks out of oven and at the back is a panel with 4 screws remove may need a tap with hammer and screwdriver to shock rust etc. then undo screws on element maybe 3 screws pull gently forward(electric off).Try to pull the spade connectors off without losing them into back of oven if you lose them then you will have to take out oven and remove back plate. refit new element. If it was the grill element just follow above and find behind back plate.Hope I helped.

We have a hotpoint cooker UY46, our electric tripped the cooker off and , now the nob and grill works but the bottem/main oven is turning on and the fan is circulating but not getting hot ? please help ;(

You need to replace the element. Very easy job remove the back plate from inside the oven (4 screws) and you will see a circular element held in place by one screw in the centre of the fixing plate. Remove the fixing screw then remove two wires and refit new element job done.

Neff fan element

All of this can be done with the oven in situ. Take the back off if you like, but its un-necessary, dirty and time consuming. So here we go: Power off at mains. Remove 4 screws holding plate which guards the fan. You will be faced with the fan partially obscuring the top element retaining screw. At the centre of the fan spindle is a reverse threaded nut. WD40 the nut. Wait a minute or so and using a socket wrench and a flick of the wrist, the reverse thread nut should losen v easily. Having mastered the lock nut, tap the washer and it should become loose enough to remove by hand. If not, it just needs a little gentle persuasion with a flat head screwdriver where it sits on the fan itself. The grime will loosen and it will pop off. Squirt some WD40 onto the fan spindle, and wait a couple of minutes. Ignore any advice to lock onto the threaded spindle because if you damage it, your relatively cheap repair will become pretty expensive. Simply use a locking mole grip on the fan itself where the locking nut sits against it and pull and twist gently away from the spindle. You will be surprised how easy this is. Very little chance of damage. You can then access all 5 element retaining screws. Gently lever out the left foot of the element from the oven housing. Remove the spade connectors from the old element. Reversal of these instructions to fit the new element. Restore mains power. Reset clock or main oven will not work.

How to replace a fan bake oven hidden element

Before attempting any repairs, make sure the power is turned off! If you are unsure or not confident, please call a service technician.
The element is behind a cover that is held in place either by screws or clips. Once the cover is removed, the element will be visible. The element will be screwed in place by a number of screws on the base plate and around the element itself. After removing the screws, pull the element fron the rear of the oven. the wires should be attached to the element via lugs. The lugs need to be unattached from the element. Before removing the wiring, take note of the connections so that reinstallation can be carried out.
