Can't play DVDs I recorded on the DBRH197 on the V8824W
My DVD player (V8824W) won't recognise discs recorded on the DVD recorder, but plays commercial DVDs fine. I just get the message "Reading" and a series of clicks. Can anyone help?
Trying to record from VCR to DVD, when the 'DUB' button is pushed, I get a 'No Recorded Titles' message. These are old home movies, no encryption or anything.Trying to record from VCR to DVD, when the 'DUB' button is pushed, I get a 'No Recorded Titles' message. U can't get rid of their patended codes sorry, but u can bypass their patended codes by recoppying it all over again with a computer with a movies coppying software by buy an install software on your computer for recoppying it all over again, than u can play into any DVD player u want.
The disc is probably an incompatible format for this model player. Even if the disc is finalised in your PC, or in a DVD recorder, this player may still be unable to read it. Some DVD recorder/players do not recognise DVD+R (or +R DL) media, while others won't recognise +/-RW discs (except CD-RW); this is a model limitation - not a fault with either your player, the PC burning software or the discs themselves.
Nothing can be done to fix this except purchasing a model which accepts multimedia (+R/DVD-RAM etc). The question is, does your player play ANY normal DVDs? I am guessing your player will accept DVD-R DL discs just fine since this is standard as well as proper shop-bought movies.
The home recorded dvds disc have diffrence finalizing codes, that the Panasonic dvd recorder doesn't share those codes. That why u can't play those home recorded dvds discs.
fitted a new drive in but it wont play normal dvds.
it recognises +- discs and formats them as it should
just need to work out how to make it play normal dvds.
dont want to pay for advise thanks
This is problem exactly with finalizing for finalizing after disk burning You need to press stop button and finalising menu will appear in your display at that time you need to press Record button top finalize it will take a little time for finalizing then your DVD will play fine in all DVD players
