GE spacemaker no longer heats

Everything works on my GE Spacemaker microwave oven, but it no longer heats. Not sure what happened, worked this morning. Fuse wasn't tripped, no metal was accidently put in and heated.

mine did same thing. It's not very old and was not cheap. So I hope it can be fixed without costing an arm and leg.

Our GE spacemaker 1400 worked great for a few years and now all of a sudden will not heat or defrost. It seems to make a noise like it's kicking into another "gear" and then kicks out again but does nothing other than make noise. Any ideas how to fix as I'm pretty handy if directed to the right fix. Thanks.

Bad door switch. Look for burnt terminals on one of the door switches. Replace the switch and cut off the burnt terminals and splice on new ones.

A child burnt popcorn in our GE Spacemaker microwave. Now, everything works except for the heat. Panel works, light works, turn table works...no heat. Help pls.

Sadly popcorn kills more microwave ovens than peiple imagine. You can get an estimate on a repair but I believe you will probably decide in the end to replace it. Same exact thing happened to me............expensive popcorn!!
