What color wier do i hook up my amp to the head unit?

Most amplifiers have a common color code to hook them up. On your head unit, there should be a blue wire. That is your amp. Turn on lead. The positive + symbol goes to your battery +. And that lead is usually red. Your negative terminal - is this symbol and the wire s usually black. That either goes to the - side of the battery or grounds to car chassis. The sound inputs to your amp. either by RCA cables or high speaker level input. That depends on your amps. set up. If you have any questions, post back and I'll try to reply by next day or two.

Its the wiering to the speakers. Or if u have it hooked up to an amp it might nkt be hooked up right.

You need to answer a few questions first. Do you have a factory or aftermarket amp? Did you use tape or crimps to attach the harnesses together? Did you use the proper harness? Is the head unit new or used? Check the fuse(s) in the back of the head unit. Then check your wire connections. Check that they are hooked up to the right colors and they are solid.

If you are running your speakers/subs from an external amp, then you wouldn't use any of the wires in the back. Usually you don't have any type of menu to change to make anything work. Some units have the ability to turn the signal off to the amp. What color are the wires in the back that you have remaining?

The car is not important .Connecting speakers to any unit is basically the same. there should be a color coded wire harness connected to your head unit. The speakers are as such: White & White with black stripe (Front Left) Grey & Grey with black stripe (Front Right) Green & Green with black stripe (Rear Left) Purple & Purple with black stripe (Rear Right) The Solid colors are (+) Positive and the Stripes are (-) Negative. Should have a remote wire off of your radio....
Usually blue in color. Make sure it it says remote. If that don't turn your amp off, try to power antenna wire. One should work

you need to hook up the rem wire, that runs from head unit to amp its usaully a blue wire on the head unit and there should be a rem input near where the power leads are on the amp

This one Wire should be for the +. Try connecting the + to the Head Unit and - to a Common Ground. At the Worst, You will Blow the Amp Fuse if not Correct. The Lead from the Head Unit is Only an Off and On from the Ignition. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

bagman Fat Red wire from batter + to Fuse. Fat Red wire From Fuse to Amp +. Amp- Fat Black wire to body Ground. RCA cable run from Head unit RCA jacks down opposite side opf car from power wires. To Amp RCA inputs. Wire Speaker REd terminal to Plus on Amp. Balck Terminal to Minus on amp. Blue Wire is REmote, and wires to Blue on head Unit. Remote on Amp.
