This should help jar your memory some....if your vcr is set/tuned to ch 3...and tv is set to ch 3....cable/dish box is your ch selector (tune to any ch u wish) put a blank tape in press record if you want to record....(you are not home, you must set the timer on the vcr /menu/timer recording settings)...make sure the cable box is set to the ch you wish to record...or else you will miss your recording you want.

Small green light flasing on the front of the tv..think it says programable timer..how to shut it off ?

It is stupid as it serves no purpose at all-----I have removed a few----and several people I know have used a carefully cut piece of black tape to cover it up.

E 10 tape deck error/ tapes keep spitting out

The radio checks to make sure the drive capstan is turning - if not, gives the E10 error. Either the drive belt in the radio is slipping or the drive wheel in the adapter is sticking. If it does it with a real cassette, then it's probably the drive belt. If not, you can try to figure out why the wheel in the adapter is not turning freely.

Combi TV/VCR When video tape is inserted TV immediately goes onto "emergency mode" and won't play the tape. Sometimes ejects it str away. TV was 2nd hand so I don't have a manual for it.

The Video portion of the set requires a belt and possibly a drive pulley.
When the tape is inserted, the deck moves it forward then back and if it can't because it has lost its drive due to a belt broken stops dead. Hence "Emmegency mode".

Small motorla color tv vhs tape is stuck in tv

Remove power to the set - unplug the wall outlet. Remove the screws that attach the back cover. Remove the cover. Remove the cables that connect to the VHS drive to the TV main board. Remove the mounting screws that attaches the VHS drive to the set. Remove the VHS drive. Manually turn the take-up gear which is near a motor to allow the tape to mechanically eject the tape - do not force.

I have several 30+ year old recordings. Sound quality is fine BUT a few of these tapes have come off the hub and need to be re-attached. Any suggestions ? [email protected]

its sounds like you have the real FUNK (the good stuff) music...

John, if you still have the casing for these little cassettes I will tell you how to roll these tapes back onto the hub. you will need some crazy glue and a tiny phillip screw driver...its operation time, unscrew the 1st tape that is off the hub..when you open it make sure that tiny metal w/cotton pad is intack now the tape is already off the hub right (take the hub and push side ways that small piece on wheel like...now straighten out the tape on the other side of you...put 1/4 or 1/8 of in onto the hub ..do not try to snap the tiny piece back in, slide it in sideway on top tape..once this done ...no tape is sticking out right...place the tape through its slots (so it can run smooth) we about to put it back together make sure the metal w/ cotton pad is still in its place.... screw it back together (crazy glue is only for the tapes casing that dont have screws or that cracked)....now continue the process for the rest,,,,yes I have done the same process for micro / regular cassettes/ VHS and the those 8's. like me I still have my tapes too but a suggestion its a little time consuming but you should either put these tapes on portable hard drive (500 gig) or burn it to CD...

hope this helpful

Sun Visors won't stay up.

Bring it back to the dealer. That happened to mine and they replaced it. Also had problems with the drivers seat. It would not go back & forth. Dealer fixed.

Menus pops up

The menu button on the TV itself is bad and must be replaced ( or removed ). Alternatively the whole front button assembly can be disconnected. Just follow the wire back to the main chassis and unplug it.
