Pink wire if its to go to ground then any metal is ground or negative not live in other words they say the handbrake so you cant use it whilst driving so any metal should do for this ok.

Are you wiring it to amp or not?
Also the mute only wires into say phone cradle or something that would mute the stereo say if you had phone in craddle this would mute the sound so you could here the call. so not needed unless you have phone craddle.

If the two lives are wired in and the ground black when you earth the pink then it should switch on let me know if this happens.

Auto ant is for the arial on car if this goes up and down on motor if not then its not needed

Ill check on dimmer/illumination ok but bare with me for couple of hours just popping out but will get back to you then ok

Where do you connect the memory wire on a jvc kd g110 car stero.....what color is the memory wire ?? what does hook red wire to acc fuse mean??? what wire does the red wire on the radio connect to on...

The yellow wire is most likely the memory wire as it needs to be connected to a constant 12 volt source.

"Hook red wire to to acc fuse" means you need to hook into the fuse block under an Accessory Fuse. (ie: something that can't be turned on unless the car is running or the key is in the "Accessory" position)

The red wire is explained above. It does not connect to the harness.

Just remember that the yellow wire needs to be hooked to a constant 12 volts and the red needs to be hooked to a circuit that is only active when the car is running or switched to the "ACC" position.

JVC KW-AVX710 not save. after switch off the car .when start it again all settings become to default

If your unit is not maintaining it's memory, it may be associated with the lack of a constant 12 volt power source. Test the units yellow wire, it should rest at 12 volts with the key in all positions; off, acc, on/run, start. This yellow wire should be connected to the vehicle's battery wire. Also, test the red wire. This wire should be connected to a switched 12 volt power source. It should read 12 volts with the key in accessory and on/run only. If you used a vehicle specific wiring harness to complete the installation, the wires may be switched in the harness. It's not a common issue but, I have seen it happen.

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW TO HOOK UP THE RED AND YELLOW WIRES FROM A JVC KD-R400 CAR STEREO TO THE WIRING OF A 1999 PONTIAC MONTANA

The red should be ACC. Meaning it only supply 12 volts when the ignition is in the acc position or in the on position or when the car is running. It do not supply 12 volt if the ignition is off. The yellow wire is Battery(sometimes called B+). That means it has 12 volts at all times even the ignition is off. This wire is responsible for memory. Get a meter or a test light. Turn the ignition off and find which wires has 12 volts, you caonnect that to the yellow wire. Now turn the ignition key to ACC, and find the wire that has 12 volts, now turn the key off , the 12 volts should go away, You connect that to the red wire.

I need to know the wiring dia

all your wiring is color coated. if you have your harness from the the new reciever and you have purchased an adaptor harness which plugs into the vehicles existing harness enableling you to wire every thing as it is color coated you have red wire a yellow wire a black wire. your red and yellow are power and your black is your ground wire .your red should be be your acc or ignition wire which gives you power to the unit when the ignition is on should tie directly to the red wire on your adaptor harness, the yellow is your constant 12 volts which is for memory and keep your presest along with your time and features such as that it will tie with the yellow on the harness as well then the black is your ground the unit and will tie with the black wire on the harness. that takes care with powering the unit next you have a set of wires that you will be using to tie your sound to they are color coated as well and will tie to the new harness your front left and front right channels are white/white and black and usually gray/w a gray and white for the right channel thats your front. your rear is green/w green and purple and purple/w purple and white stripe for the rear speakers i hope that helps you out a bit

Re sent wire diagram gat all messed up

Hi
have we spoke before in previous post?
the red can go to any 12v live peramanent such as wire to clock or other item that has power with ignition off and the same with the yellow if your putting these to the same permanent live say from clock you can join these to together red/yellow to red on clock
the black can go to any metal or neg wire.
This should then have your device working the only problem im looking at for you now is the pink wire as this stops you using the device whilst driving as it goes to handbrake but i need to find out if its live or negative.
You could just wire the red/yellow to live and black to earth then see if it switches on and works if not then let me know and ill see about the pink wire ok
Makes sure you use inline fuses on the live wires so as not to short the device out.
Make sure you know what is permanent live to put the yellow/red wire to.
It doesnt need to be ignition it only says this so you cant use it with ignition off but you can wire it into any live feed from clock or switches so its up to you what to wire it to its just the pink wire im concerned about.

PINK: does it tell you to put it to live or earth on handbrake switch?

let me know ok
