Hey there it looks like you are having problems with your LCD chips it sounds like the blue one is starting to burn out and that is why you are getting this kind of side effects, to be honest with you I dont think they sale the LCD chips by them selfs what you need to buy (that is if you want to invest any money in this set) is the OPTICAL BLOCK not a light engine your tv set is a LCD projection and this tv set dont have light engines.

If you go to youtube and type in LCD projection you will see some great videos on how this projection works

You need a light engine. I do not remember if your model is still under Sony's recall. You might want to call them.

I have blue dots on the screen. I cleaned the glass on the projection bulb and the prizm but still have blue dots.

Your tv is an LCD projection one - in which the image is generated by 3 small LCD screens. The blue dots are pixels from the blue LCD that are dead - always fully open. The only fix is to replace the LCD panel and that is going to cost you around $300.

Blue dots and streaks

Blue streaks might have been just your video connection and problem with signaling. But, blue dots is faulty light engine, aka "optical block". The engine in this could be a defective LCD array. Very expensive, a optical block is about $850. Hope it's still under warranty. You could get a rebuilt one, possibly. Need service adjustment too. Bad problem that Sony has with these kinds of sets.

Started with blue streaking and now there are tiny blue dots

you cannot do it yourself, however sony will do it for free, call 1-888-993-7669 and inquire about the optical block program. good luck.

Blue tints w/ tini blue dots

if you see blue pixel type groups of squares or dots you may have a burnt light engine and this is common in many LCD rear projection sets; a blue screen may mean the engine became burnt--LCD rear projection sets of this kind have an optical enginge--with red, green, blue prizims--sometimes they get burned by the lamp---a photo would tell me or most techs what the problem is---the cost of a replacement engine is very expensive--some models with this problem are covered by Sony even if the set is no longer in warrant

Kf-42610 blue hue and blue dots on screen

Hi Guys

The Blue dots or discolouration you are seeing is due too the Blue LCD screen having cracked from excessive heat. This normally happens when you have a power failure while the Television was on. This obviously because the Blue LCD sits next to the lamp - the main cause of heat. The correct part number on the 60" is A-1086-952-A. It is very, very ,expensive.

Sorry to have been the bearer of bad news. Good luck : )
