The same problem i have was posted in your site on March16 2010 but couldn't find a solution to it:
(as posted in your site)
I have exactly the same problem with my Optoma HD65. When I turn it on the fan starts but the bulb does not light up. The fan goes through a couple of high speed/low speed cycles and then stops and the red bulb light comes on.
I thought it was the bulb the first time it happened but after letting it sit for a while powered off it started again. The next time I went to use it though it wouldn't start and it hasn't started since
Any suggestion?
Thank you
I've had the exact same problem with no good solution. New bulb, same problem. If I let it set plugged in overnight it sometimes works. But I think we all know it's an Optoma design flaw. My unit is only two months old and I'm sending this piece of **** back.
Same for me and a few other people on this site **** from Optoma!!
SOURCE: My Optoma HD65 Projector stops starts working and
Possible cause is overheating.
Do you hear the fan working?
What happens when you use the lowest level light output?
Does it run longer?
Also possible cause is a faulty temp sensor.
AC wire connection may not be firmly pressed in socket.
SOURCE: need to somehow hook up speakers to hd65 optoma.
HI there the normal way to sort this problem in most installations is to run active speakers straight from the sound card on the pc /laptop that is running your presentation and nothing to do with the projector
skytec make a good range of quality active speaker available on the net

adjust the resolution to match. also, make sure the monitor port is activated.
