Lens probably does not extend or retract because of debris or a misaligned gear box. The lens can in about 50% of the cases be repaired without having to replace it. Try to return to manufacturer first. If you're out of warranty, there are third party place that fix them such as camera lens repairs. If you want to do it yourself, there are also free camera repair guide websites that show you how to replace the lens, the replacement part is usually available on ebay.

Kodak EasyShare M753 camera lens not retracting.

It is very likely that the charger doesn't have enough power (milliamps) to operate the motors involved in operating the lens motors. It is a good camera and a battery is only $5.99. Even if that doesn't make it work, it is worth getting the camera repaired as a Kodak service centre.

It's broken. It will have to be serviced, and likely need parts replacement. It's up to you, but given the cost of repairs, just in labor, I'd toss it in the recycle pile and get a new one.

Kodak m753 lens error 101, 1, 0, 0

The problem you describe is frequently the result of dirty/corroded battery contacts in the camera. Try removing the batteries and cleaning the inside contacts with a fine wire brush, steel wool, or fine sandpaper. Remove any residue left from the cleaning, then replace the batteries. Hopefully all will be well.

If the cleaning doesn't work you might want to check the Kodak troubleshooting guide at:
