When booting hit R before the boot and keep hitting til the recovery pops up and you will have many options to choose from but try last known good config, or safe mode and do a virus scan sounds like a virus to me if need more help post a comment to this. some good virus programs and utility programs are (Ccleaner utility) and (A squard vius remover) go to download.com to get just put in search field and scroll down and download best out there I've found for keeping virus free and they are both free ok good luck and have a nice day the fixist

Hi my Toshiba satellite p205-s6287 powers on but the screen blank

There are a lot of things that can cause this.
But the one that is in your grasp is a problem with the Memory Modules.
Open the small cover on the bottom that covers the memory.
Remove one chip leaving one chip, and rotate between the slots and the modules.
A bad ram chip will cause this problem.
Lets hope thats what it is, because otherwise it could very well be a problem with the motherboard, and that is not too cost effective to repair/replace.

Toshiba satellite p205-s6267 backlight

Your system is consuming much power.

Go to Control Panel, Power Options.

Click "Advanced Power Settings" for your current power plan.

Under the section "What happens when I close the lid", choose "Do nothing" for both "Battery" and "Plugged-in".

Click "Apply" and "Ok".

Now, close the lid of your laptop and open it, it would restore but next time don't overload your system power.

This is common with Dell and Toshiba.

Toshiba Satellite P205-S6237 won't Boot up after full shutdown

i think there is some issues with the OS because i noticed you can't shut it down properly so maybe the files needed in order to shut down had been corrupted but one more theory, the bios settings make sure that everythings configured properly there by checking the power options on the bios setup(the blue screen)so try setting it to default and change the boot priority to HDD,CDROM,FLOPPY.
