If it ran very long you could have overheated the plumbing and now you might be leaking air. If you can get it to run right by putting glue around the suction pipe at the pump while running this is your problem. If so you will need to replumb pump. Do the suction and the discharge as that will probally leak also.

Sta-rite mse-7 vertical jet well pump will not prime.

If your Sta-rite vertical mse-7 pump will not prime, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the water level: Make sure the water level in the pool or spa is high enough to reach the skimmer and the pump. Low water levels can cause the pump to lose prime.
  2. Check the skimmer basket: Make sure the skimmer basket is clean and free of debris. A clogged skimmer basket can restrict water flow and prevent the pump from priming.
  3. Check the pump lid O-ring: Make sure the pump lid O-ring is in good condition and properly seated. A damaged or misaligned O-ring can cause air leaks and prevent the pump from priming.
  4. Check the suction plumbing: Check the suction plumbing for leaks, cracks, or other damage. Any air leaks on the suction side of the pump can cause loss of prime.
  5. Check the impeller: If the impeller is damaged or clogged with debris, it can prevent the pump from priming. Remove the pump basket and inspect the impeller for damage or debris. Clean or replace the impeller as needed.
  6. Check the pump seal: If the pump seal is damaged, it can allow air to enter the pump and prevent priming. Inspect the pump seal for damage and replace it if necessary.
If none of these troubleshooting steps resolve the issue, you may need to call a professional pool service technician to diagnose and repair the problem.

The bowl in my saniflo toilet has very low water level, and is getting lower. Would you please let me know how to fix this? Thank you, Erin

I know absolutely nothing about the Saniflo system other than the very basic working principle but logically there must be a vent or an airbreak between the macerator/pump unit and the toilet bowl or the pump would tend to create a depression in the container and draw water from the toilet bowl...

Why has the circulation flow decreased

Your pump pushes "Unfiltered" water thru the Filter. Your filter then "Cleans / Filters" all of the microscopic particles of dirt out of the water. This will eventually clog your filter as the pressure will then obviously climb. Basically, doing the job it was intended to do! As this occurs the water flow will be reduced and at times, dramatically! The fix: clean the cartridges, backwash your sand or D.E. Filter.

Another possibility is the flow is restricted due to another type of clog: Plugged pump impeller, clogged & dirty skimmer or pump baskets, etc.

Or low water level. Sucking air with water.

Pool cleaner starts and then stops working

Check for water flow / water flow restrictions / and water flow blockages.

Many things create water flow reductions: Dirty filters, plugged impellers, packed with debris baskets - both skimmers and at pump, closed to partially closed valves, air suction leaks: worn shaft seal, worn orings at pump lid or pump volute body, low water level, stuck skimmer weir blade/gate in the up position & skimmer empties and air is sucked into the system which may cause the pump to lose prime. This a problem that goes un-noticed and is hard to detect even by some service technicians!

Low flow message on balboa 500z system

The low flow message on any Balboa means that you are having an issue with the flow of water through your heating unit. This can be caused by a few things.

  • Low water levels
  • Dirty filters
  • Something is impeding your water flow
Top up your water level and make sure it is where it needs to be, clean your filters or replace them, and check that nothing is impeding your water flow at the skimmer or water intakes.

Here is a link to water flow issues.

2000 vw beetle 2.0 L, low level coolant light...engine mil code 1256

not the pump but air in the system or a broken wire to the coolant level sensor
that sensor at the top of the radiator tank has to be completely immersed in coolant or the circuit is broken and the light comes on
same effect id the wire to that sensor is broken in the insulation

Low water level in saniflo toilet

Is it always low? Could be a partial blockage in the out flow pipe, causing the pump to stay on, or a sticking/dirty pump switch.

Car overheating no heat coming from vents just cold air

NO heat because there is no coolant flowing throught the heaster core. Car is overheat since there is no coolant circulating in engine water jacket.
Check the coolant, if it is low, then check the oil level. If oil level is high then the head gasket is blown so coolant gets into the engine therefore there is not enough coolant to cool the engine.
If the oil level is OK and coolant level is OK then Need to check 3 following things:
-Bad thermostat is not open causing coolant stagnant then engine overhet.
-Bad water pump is not pumping coolant so there is no coolant circulating to disipate the heat.
-Bad radiator blocks the coolant flow from top to bottom radiator.
Good luck.

Chevy 1500 Heater problem

It sound's like a problem with the water pump, thermostat, or drive-belt, drive-belt tensioner and pulley, check the tension on the drive-belt, if it has good tension check and or replace the thermostat, if your still having cold air coming out at low rpm's it could be a bad water pump. you can check the water pump by looking to see if there's coolant leaking from the weap hole, or listen for a squealing noise from the water pump when the vehicle is running, there's also a possibility of air in your cooling system which usually occur's when you have the coolant system opened up for repair's, if there is air in the system it could keep the coolant from flowing properly, only way to get it out is to bleed it out using the bleeder valve, im assuming the coolant level is at the proper level,
I hope this was helpful. Good luck.
