I have downloaded avery mac label expert (v4) for printing filing labels (lever arch, ring binder, suspension file tabs etc.). However, on selecting the correct label from the list & A4 as paper type, it tells me that: the paper size does not correspond to the printer set up: modify it to use this paper properly. The printer set up dims are 8.26" x 11.69" and the paper's size is: 4.6" x 3.26"-you can't change these manually. Another problem is that when I select print label/card rather than full page, can't seem to select any label other than the first on the page which is pretty useless when I want to print different labels without wasting the rest of the page. This s driving me nuts, I know I'm not an IT genius but what am I missing? Any help appreciated. Thank you.
To reset the size in your printer to the correct A4 size, do this:
Go to your Applications folder on your hard drive.
In it, you will find a Utilities folder.
Inside that folder, you will find a folder called "Printer Setup Utility."
Inside THAT folder, you will find a list of printers you have connected to your Mac.
Click on one. You will see, at the top of your screen, a set of menus. Click on the "Printer Setup Utility" menu at the far left.
Choose "Preferences" from the drop-down list.
You will see a dialog box with three options: Printing, Sharing, and Faxing. If Printing is not automatically displayed, click on the Printing tab.
At the bottom of the Printing dialog box, you will see another pull-down menu: "Default paper size in page setup"
Choose A4, or whatever size you wish.
Close up all the boxes, and print your labels to your heart's content.
When you're done with your labels, don't forget to repeat this process to switch your printer back to your ordinary size paper.
Hope this helps.
