Sierra wireless aircard

Recently bought a new Toshiba laptop that I thought had a slot for my aircard and it turns out it only fits the express card. Is there such a thing as an adapter that I can use to connect my sierra aircard (Cingular) to my new computer. I have 2 malfunctioning computers. I have extended service plans on them, but haven't had a chance to send them in. In a panic, I ran out and quickly bought this one for my business. And then realized that my aircard doesn't fit. I rely on my computer a lot for my work. I am having to use my daughter's still and she would like me to return it soon. Is there an adapter available and does Best Buy sell it?
Please help.

Yes , but on a laptop it will be an external usb adaptor.
You need something like this, the model in the middle will do.

Sorry correction, Aircards can be pcmcia, or pc II, or pc III
    using same link as above
buy the one in the middle for pc2 aircards, the one on the right for pcmcia aircards, just check your model specifications.

Connect Sprint PCS Sierra Wireless Aircard 402 home network??

Yes, you need to get in the router settings and disable DHCP in LAN configuration. That should do it. Also enable the ICS for the Air card. (Right click on Sierra Wireless icon, properties, advanced, check the box next to Allow others networks user to connect through this computers internet connection)

How to unlock a wirelessierra AirCard® 860 for use with tmobile

Call at&t, tell them you bought it from a third party. As long as it is new at&t (att in lower case) or Cingular, doesn't appear on an active account, have a pending contract attached or a past due amount on the account, you should be able to get it unlocked.

Verizon Wireless PC 5750 air car work in a HP Pavillion

No because the Aircard PC5750 is a PCMCIA slot card, and your laptop has a Next Gen Express Card/ 54 Slot. The Express card slot is smaller than the PCMCIA slot. That makes the PC5750 incompatible.

No internet access with air card

Before you go to your friend's, download the Watcher program from Sierra wireless onto a cd. And install it instead of the AT&T Connection MGR.

For random disconnects and difficulties signing on with ATT Communications Manager

download the watcher program @

copy and paste the complete link into your browser.

NEW AIR CARD HAS SIGNAL BUT NOT CONNECTING TO NETWORK

i have had three aircards due to many problems including not being able to install the communication manager program from the aircard to not being able to connect to the att network. well, i got a laptop the other day and figured i was going to have problems with the aircard UNTIL i went to the sierra wireless website and did some investigating!! i think the problems lie with the communication manager rather than the aircard itself. >>>download the 3GWatcher program directly from sierra wireless and use that instead of the communication manager. it offers all the same functions and worked right off the bat....i took my laptop with the aircard out on a golf course in the middle of nowhere to test and everything worked beautifully!!
i, too, spent many hours on the phone with att....very frustrating!
and no reps even suggested that i try the 3GWatcher program...they all blamed the problems on a "bad batch" of aircards.... hmmmmm!!
try it, you'll like it!
