I have just installed a new hard drive in my Toshiba Tecra M2 and unable to find to download the drive for NetWork Controller......Your help would greatly be appreciated .....Thanking you

    just re-installed windows XP SP-2 on a Toshiba Tecra M2-S730.. Device manager need to update Ethernet controller, Network controller, pci controller, multimedia controller etc.

    Toshiba apparently revamped their laptop drivers download site, as the selction wizard has several Tecra M2 series options, but none specific to the M2-S430, and sadly, there is no longer a generic "M2" selection like the one that exists for the "M3." I tried selecting the M2-339 below my S430, as well as the M2-519 above my model, but neither driver options worked for my Ethernet Controller nor my Network Controller, which both have the dreaded Windows yellow ? in the Device Mgr.

If fixed mine thru toshiba download and suport just ahd to try about 10 drivers then my pc fingered itself and dropped a gigahert of ther processor. now im pissed fix this little minions

This could be very time consuming..
Remove this driver and rescan - let window auto detect and install driver - network install if needed..
Make sure you have Service pack 3 installed..

There couple be a patch fix that would prevent you from loading your drivers correctly.

If this doesn't work!!

The restoration disks would be the most simplest way of restoring the laptop.
Search by serial Number @ Toshiba.com

Most computer companies only charge $20-$40 us dollars - free shipping..(restoration disk)

Can't connect to Internet after re-installing Windiws XP
You need a wireless adapter or an ethernet adapter - 1394 is firewire and used for connecting to video cameras and the like NOT for wireless I suspect you will see some yellow ? or ! in device manager - and/or under network adapters goto this site and download the network adapters http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp select your model I have a link here directly to the drivers http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/modelContent.jsp?ct=DL&os=&category=&moid=713840&rpn=PTM20U&modelFilter=M2-S730&selCategory=3&selFamily=1073768664 I would suggest as you have re-installed XP - you may want to also download other drivers which may be needed on the laptop

I got a tecra m2 from a friend for but i want to clear out all of the junk that was on it I have an XP install disc but I don't have a system driver disc. What can I do?
Pre-fetch the drivers from Toshiba:

If you have a flash drive or a usb hard drive of any type, stick the drivers on a flash drive or USB HDD ahead of time. Then do a clean install of XP onto the hard drive, then hook up the flash/usb drive and install the drivers from there.

In the Advanced (block) check to see if, “Device” is (Enabled)?” “ Apply" to all, and click OK! Restarting the Computer finalize, and identify changes made to configurations. “I hope this helps Ya”
