Yes, the copier needs your password in order to be able to access the PC where the folder is stored. If you update your password in the copier's settings, you should be able to scan to folder fine again.

How do i setup scanner from my machine to my laptop? please start from step 1 including cable connectios and scan to folder instructions. I am using windows 8.1 pro

Before you even start, your machines "Network Support" firmware needs to be up to date to be able to connect to a Windows 8.1 PC.
Secondly your machine has to be networked. No USB scanning supported on Ricoh Devices. Create a shared folder on your C: drive called "scans". Share so "everyone" can access the folder. On the MP2852 select scanner mode and tap the block with "Prg Dest" on the screen. Select Folder and Browse for your PC. Enter your PC Username and Password when asked. Find your shared "scans" folder, select it and then tap OK on the screen. Next enter your name and save. You should be good to go. Keep in mind anti-virus and firewalls can block it. Also ensure your PC is part of a "Home Group" otherwise you will not find your PC when you browse from the MP2852. If your PC is not in a "Home Group" then you can just create a "Home Group" under your "Network and Sharing Center" and while you are there ensure that "Password Protected Sharing" is switched off under your "Advanced Sharing Settings" also found in your "Network and Sharing Center".

Set up scan and send for canon C2030

scan and send works in two ways. It can scan to email, then you have to put smtp server on the email settings and create destination in the adress book. The other way is to scan and send to the file. Create a folder at the destination pc, share it in the network with acces rights for everyone, then create destinatinon entry in the address book. Change it to file, host name would be the ip or host name of the machine you are trying to send to. Folder path is the name of the folder you just created. Login and password would be the l/p for the pc you have created the folder at. and thats it. Should work straight away :)

Dear Sirs/Madams, I have a Muratec MFX-1930 network multimachine (printer, scanner, copier, fax). Everything is working fine i can print, fax, copy and scan. My problem is the scanner scans to internal...

Unless your machine is connected via ethernet cable.( NOT USB.!!) you will not be able to scan directly to a Network folder.
Anotherwords..you can scan to a Network folder if its an RJ45 cable but NOT if your using USB.
If you are using ethernet the machine should have come with the appropriate software...if you have lost it you can get it at www.muratec.com .
**If you are using USB...installing the Network software will NOT make it scan to folder.

I have 2 HP printer a C7280 and most recently a C309. I have never been able to get either to scan to computer, they do not recognized connected PC`s and suggest starting scan from pc (not sure how to do...

I can give you the steps to start a scan from your computer.

1. Turn on your computer, wait for it to boot up, then turn on your printer.
2. Double click on the " HP Imaging Director " icon on your desktop. This icon was placed there
when the printer was installed on your computer.
3. A screen will appear which shows the scanning options available on your printer.
4. Place your document or picture on the printer's glass top.
5 Select the appropriate " Scan " button from the menu.
6. Scanned documents will be available in the My Documents folder and pictures will be seen
in the HP Photo Gallery and your My Pictures folder.

Since you have already been to the HP solution center, I hope this works for you.

My scanner is not working. I press Scan, copy to file using the + arrow, then press Set. The window reads connecting to PC...but nothing more happens. Finally the copier/scanner resets.

Hello.

This issue happens because ether your network settings got changed around, or the router need to be reset , or the computer that is assigned this "Folder" that the scanner scans to needs to be rebooted or its sharing options has changed.

Let me know if you have some more information before I proceed with step by step fix.

First:

1. Reboot the computer where the scan folder is assigned to.
2. Reboot/reset the router or switch
3. Check your network settings and cable.

I will stand by with further information once you reply to me.

Thanks

Regards

I can't scan to a folder on my laptop via a wireless connection from my ricoh aficio 1600. What do I need to do to get my Ricoh to recognize my computer?

questions 1st are you able to print to the copier by wireless ? 2nd was ever able to scan to folder on your laptop by wireless ? If the answer to both is yes try and plug your laptop into a network jack with a network cable and see if you can scan then. If you still can't it is possible the path to your folder has changed or your permission (password) has changed to your folder or the folder is not there anymore.

Network error CE-02

You didn't tell me enough about the problem. Are you trying to scan from a PC or to a PC? The problem is that the network address changed when you moved the printer. You can fix this by correcting the network address

Im trying to scan and the canon says: "set the pc to start scan"...? Nothing pops up on the computer, what do i need to do?

I'm using an MG5220 and got this same message. Here's how I fixed it.

On the printer control panel press the soft key to select the scan function. Then hit the soft key to select Save/Forward. Then select Foward scanned data to a PC. On the next screen make sure to select the appropriate PC. In my case I'm connected wireless but the selection was set to USB connection and that's why I was getting the error noted above. When I picked the PC that is connected wirelessly everything worked fine again.

Bizhub c350 will not scan to hdd

Easiest way is to change to SMB scanning which will give you direct scanning to PC or server. Create a new address in the machines address tab in the browser add the (must be a fixed) ip address of the machine it is going to with the folder name, user name and password and it will work a treat.
