Bowl lift lever on hobart HL200 loose, can't lift the mixing bowl

check inside the machine housing the part where the handle is moving but the rest of assembly is not it could be a pin has dropped out. use something like a nail etc to block this part so that the handle turns the assembly. until you can get a replacement.

if this is not the case then a part is broken and needs replacing.
see manual at this link.
https://manualsbrain.com/en/manuals/1275564/?page=61
see part pin PS-004-15 this could be the problem on pages regarding base and pedestal you can see the lifter assembly diagram here and a list of parts if replacements are needed.
also to reduce wear on this lifter ensure the bowl holding arms sliding rails are kept clean and lubricated. if they get fouled up with flour etc this over time, plus the weight of the bowl can cause excessive strain on the lifter assembly.

I hope this was helpful.

We got a berville kitchen wiz as a wedding present in 1963. The handle on the bowl has broken. Can you let me know if I can get a replacement bowl for this product.

Contact Breville with the model number and ask them, don't hold your breath though they change models regularly.

I have a Kenmore stand mixer that needs a new bowl. The mixer model # is 400.82573. The part number is 3140-012-0000

Sorry to say, the part is no longer available from the Sears parts site, and no substitute exists. Unless you can find a bowl from some other brand and model, or just a suitably-sized mixing bowl, you're out of luck.

Hobart a200 will run just fine without anything in the bowl, once I pour my ingredients into the bowl, it wouldn't even mix the ingredients. Try all 3 gears.

Short answer: something is worn/broken inside the mixer's transmission.

Longer answer:

Since none of the three gears operate, the problem is most likely on either the worm gear shaft (probably the brass worm gear itself) or the "transmission shaft" (ironic name as all three shafts could be called transmission shafts). If you're up to the task of disassembling the transmission, which is a very messy task, you'd probably find the problem on one of the two smaller shafts inside the transmission. You'll most likely find either a broken key or worn brass worm gear. Both of these items may have enough holding strength to operate under very light loads (such as an empty bowl) but slip once a load is presented.
Also check the planetary key. Remove the planetary by removing two nuts on the underside of the transmission, where the attachments attach (careful, as the whole thing will drop once the second, thin nut is removed). You will find a long key on the shaft (or in the planetary gear, whichever one it sticks to). Make sure it's not broken, and re-attach the planetary.

Oil coming out of mixer above bowl

Don't open up the "works" part of your mixer if it is still under warranty!!!! If the policy hasn't changed, you'll void the warranty by doing that.

KitchenAid has one of the best user forums of any company as far as I'm concerned. The participants are great and the monitors are exceptional (some of the best problem solvers you are likely to run across). You may find your experience already has a thread, if not, post it. I checked in and they seem to have added a video library that has some of the topics I've seen posted at this site. Tell them "mnme" sent you. (LOL)
