This camcorder can be connected to a TV with the S-video connection (JVC recommends their YTU94146A S-Video cable) or two RCA connections. If you use an RCA composite cable, you use only one of the two audio connections (white) and the yellow video cable.

Try Firewire Cable ....but check that your Camcorder as well as the PC has the port ..... If not then check S-Video Cable

While in the record mode, try pressing the menu button (volume) to get to the SYSTEM MENU. Then in the "To System Menu or Next" columns roll down until you find the record mode and press the button to change the mode.
