My blackberry storm 9350 is charging on the usb and it has a solid red light that goes off every 30 mins. The phone will not turn on.

You can still buy Storm LCD's and they run about $60 and are fairly simple to install/replace with the proper tools

blackberry storm will not charge brought new blackberry battery put it into phone and it turned on turned it off and left it on charge now it wont turn on even when still pluged into mains charger red light comes on but as soon as i disconect from mains light goes off and nothing happenes

A red light on a blackberry means the battery is flat. (Requires re-charging)
If you are confident your battery is FULLY charged and your charger is working then you may need to take your handset to a repair shop.

Try charging up the battery whilst in the handset. Let it charge for 30 mins then try and switch it on.

Remember...Blackberry handsets take longer than most to start up.

it sounds like *********** Borad - or The Circuit Borad on the Phone might be damaged.

I've had this problem just since the last software upgrade. New charger, cable & battery haven't solved it.

Battery icon goes yellow when charge is low, red when about to go off, yes, that's OK. Recommend give it more time after all the bars are full-white, to trickle more into the battery. Lithium batteries don't seem to like being flattenend and left flat in my experience.

The light blinks for all sorts of things, might also have pending messages, etc. Can use the Storm OK while it's charging, just hold down red button to turn it on again.

After turning on, sometimes the cellular receiver does not turn on until battery is more charged. Wait 10 mins and then try to make a phone call, you may get a message saying it's off, do you want to turn the receiver on - just say yes.

That should keep you going. Nice phone.

If the battery has gone flat before you started re-charging it, the phone has turned itself off.

Let it charge for 5 mins, then hold the red button down until you see it re-booting. You can use it while its charging.

Sometimes the cellular phone receiver does not come on when it reboots, if the battery isn't charged enough - when you make a phone call it will let you know and ask to turn on if the battery is charged enough.

Store it in the special holster it came bundled with - when you put the phone in the holster it has something that turns off the display to save battery (phone still on) and other useful things like activating vibrate mode.

I just called Verizon Wireless who said that the phone may need to be charged completely for a few hours. Try taking the battery out and putting it back on as well.
