I have a Westclox W3 manual wind up wrist watch that I need to remove the stem on how do I do

Removing the stem on a manual wind-up wrist watch can be a delicate task, as it requires some knowledge of watch mechanics. Here are the general steps to remove the stem on a Westclox W3 manual wind-up wrist watch:
  1. Make sure that the watch is not wound.
  2. Use a small screwdriver to remove the crown from the watch. This is typically done by gently pressing down on the crown and twisting it counterclockwise.
  3. Once the crown is removed, you should be able to see the stem.
  4. Use a stem removal tool to push the stem out of the movement. A stem removal tool is a specialized tool that is designed to remove stems from watches, it can be found in most watch repair kits.
  5. Carefully remove the stem from the movement.
  6. Once the stem is removed, you should be able to access the movement of the watch for repairs or maintenance.

How do I wind up my tag carrera automatic using the crown??

Wow, how wrong yall are.

There are three positions for the Carrera's push-down crown. The inner position is used for normal wear and winding. To wind the crown manually, simply rotate it clockwise.

Changing the date on the Carrera is done from the middle crown position. Turn the crown clockwise to advance the date, one day at a time. Push the crown back to the inner position when finished.

The outer crown position is used for setting the time. You can turn the crown in this position either clockwise or counter-clockwise. Adjust the time forward or backwards. Setting the time backwards will not damage the watch. When the time is correct, press the crown all the way into the inner position.

Lost stem on watch. can i get replacement? can i install myself?

mcdevito75 Here, Pulsar a quartz watch. If you lost the stem, the mechanism holding it into the watch maybe damaged, this mechanism also turns your Pulsar watch on / off. Best Bet, visit a small watch repair shop in your area, have them take a look at your Pulsar watch. You could replace the stem yourself but first you"d need the right size stem, (hard to get) then if the mechanism holding the stem in is damaged you"ve wasted your time. Your local small watch repair shop can let you know, and they usually don"t charge to have a look.

Tag Heuer Carrera CV2A10 date display changes at 3AM??

Unfortunately, there is not much you can do with this, as for fixing it you need very experienced watch repairers help. All I can do is just name all possible reasons why it happened. FIRST reason could be: the day wheel somehow has lifted and not sitting in correct position. This would be the easiest fault for watchmaker to repair, as only dismantling the movement, correcting the day wheel and re-assembling will be necessary, so, no serious repairs needed. SECOND reason can be: the star, which is friction fitted to the day wheel is getting loose. In this case, if watchmaker will not be able to fix the day wheel, you will have to buy new day wheel + all work previously explained. THIRD reason: the day wheel click spring is weak/bent/broke. In this case you have to buy new day wheel click spring + again all the work previously explained. FOURTH and last reason: day wheel positioning screws/borders became loose. In this case only the work explained in FIRST reason will be necessary. If you are so lucky and still have warranty for your watch - send it back to Tag Heuer and they will do repairs without charge, because this fault is covered by warranty. If warranty has expired, you do not need to find any particular Tag Heuer watch repair shop. As all watch movements are manufactured on identical basic principles, any reputable/decent watchmaker will do the job for you. Prepare yourself to pay quite a lot, because Tags are expensive to deal with and takes a lot of time and skill to fix. This is all help I can give. Wish you luck. I have 4 seiko watches that no longer work. Most unreliable watch

mcdevito75 here, hello Diane, I'm afraid your jeweler is correct, and so are you. It is adviseable to pull the stem out to save the battery BUT, only if your not going to wear your watch for a long time, not just over night, here"s the problem!! the quartz mechanism and most of the works are plastic, and plastic while fairly flexable when new, gets hard over time, your pulling the stem to stop the watch everyday or even once a week most likely broke the switch in the mechanism that starts the watch, if so your only option is to replace the movement if you can get one. Pull the stem to stop your watch only if your not going to wear your watch for say 2 weeks toa month.

My watch the bezel that you change the time / date with, when pulled out comes all the way out, can not change time. Watch less than a year old, can not find the warrenty, not the end of the world, do not...

There are two possible causes: settting lever in your watch is broke/out of engagement or stem is broke. Not a big deal, but watchmakers skills are needed to fix it, as watch must be dismantled.
Any decent watchmaker can do it, so, just find your nearest watch repair shop and ask to fix it. Prices may vary, but no more than 25% of the cost of watch itself.
P.S. It is called Crown or Winding Crown (you say bezel).
