I printed from a macbook to a windows network printer (Model FX Docucentre II 6000. When I selected a Generic PCL driver, printing was OK. But when I switched to FX DocuCentre II 6000 driver for mac OS 10.6.4, nothing was printed and printer displayed error code 016-749.
Anyone can help me solve the problem? Thanks.

Check on the Fiery to see if Bonjour is enabled. I often have the same problems on Mac and it seems that once I enable Bonjour, all is good!!

Have you updated the machine firmware? At Xerox.com the machine firmware is there to download and install. Currently the firmeware is at level 10.100.45.018. Even if your machine is new you may have an older version of firmware.
That machine has had tons of firmware updates to it and uploading the machine to the newest level probably will resolve your problem.
There are some versions that fix 300 known problems at an update.
You have to follow the directions carefully, updating it can wipe out your LDAP settings if you use scan to E-mail etc.
If you have a maintenance agreement, or the machine is less than a year old, ( there is a one year on site warrantee on that machine for on site service) call 1-800-821-2797 and request a service call to update your firmware.
Those updates are really critical for that machine to operate properly.

That is a fuser overheat. Make sure that the paper path module is securely locked into place.
Look for a piece of paper wrapted in the fuser.
Or replace the fuser itself.

and also it seems that the error codes was on the power supply area, check the fan blower on that are if still functioning,,,

1, power on the machine.
2, while hold down the 0 key, press start.
3, enter the access number 6789
4, click onNVM reset/NVM initialization.
5, enter 777-018 press start.
