Mcdevito75 here, You may have a 2 position stem in your Timex, Slip a fingernail just under the crown and lift to it:'s first position, this should allow you to change the day / date without haveing to go thru the 24 hour cycle. Best Bet, change the date to the date before, then go thru the 24 hours to have the date change at midnite and not 12 noon. If the date keeps falling back to previous, the date wheel maybe loose in that case you can find a small watch repair shop inyour area, but it may be cheaper to replace the watch if this is the case.

How do i reset date after battery change? or where can i cet a pdf file a9no calliber number on case or movement but its a timex perpetual with indigo light approx 30 yers old

to reset the date manually, pull the stem out to the second position to reset TIME; manually continue setting time until the date is on the correct day/date.
I had to do this to get back to the proper date when my timex was off by a week. Nothing else worked. 14 times around (twice per 24 hour day) and each time I passed "midnight" the date advanced.
blessings!

Have wr 200 citizen watch. how can I set the correct year to 2010. It always reverts back to 2016

I have the same problem! My WR 200 is always setting the year to 2016, which then fouls up the date. I don't have a solution.

I have an old lucerne windup day date watch but the crown only pulls out 1 notch only to set the time. how do i set the day date or do i have to sit there and advance it manually

The date changes hen the hour hand passes midnight (more or less).

To change the date for more than one day wind it past midnight and when the date has changed, turn the time back past midnight and then forward again.

You may have to experiment to find out how far back before midnight you have to go before going forward again, but at least you don't have to wind it 24 hours for each day!

I've got a breitling superocean chrono and want to set the time, how do i do this?

Keep in mind that I dont have the watch in my hand... :-)

If this is an authentic Breitling...

You should have 2 buttons on the right with the crown between them. The crown screws down so you need to unscrew it before you attempt to set! Once unscrewed with gentle pressure pull the crown out. There should be 2 clicks, pull to 2nd click or furthest distance from case. That should be the time setting mode. Turn clockwise until the date changes then set your time. To change the date push back to the 1st click and that should be the date set mode. One direction will be for day and the opposite will be date. I believe that if you pull the crown back to 2nd click and push your buttons that should change the subdials for chrono. You might need to push both buttons at the same time.

Ive set Breitlings before but they arent a common watch we see. Most people dont use the Chrono so if the directions dont work for setting those then I wouldnt worry too much about it! Not many people are going to notice those. :-) Also be so very careful if its a real Breitling as they are a very expensive to fix! :-)

***DONT FORGET TO SCREW THE CROWN BACK DOWN OR YOU WILL GET WATER INSIDE THE WATCH!***

Rolex oyster perpetual datejust time/date setting instructions

Depending on how old the watch is, It may be quick set or older models are not quick set. In older models you need to unscrew the crown, pull out the crown and rotate the crown to set the time, and in order to set the date rotate the hour hand past 12 twice in order for the date to change. Set the date first and then set the hour and min. For quick set models unscrew the crown and pull it out to the fist click this position you can "quickly" set the date by rotating the crown. Set the date and then pull out the crown to the second position out. Rotate the crown to set the hour and min. Then push the crown back in and screw it down.

Luminox 8200 series dive watch date set issue

This movement has a really quirky thing going on, its one of the few movements that you can actually turn the hor hand to set the day forwards or backwards...so on a day that goes from the 31 to the 1st it will advance fine, if there is no 31 for that month you can turn the hour hand 2 cycles and it will advance through the 34, continue to the 1st and set time...date can also be set by turning the hour hand backwards thru the dates...go ahead it doesnt 'hurt' the movement a bit, its made for this...so in oither wiords, when you get a new cell and the date is lets say the 15th and your watch says its the 2nd, just advance the hour hand through until you hit 15 and yoiu are good to go...hopefuly this help and didnt confuse much...good luck:)
