Can´t play a vcd avseq01.dat in the dvd in my computer with either windows media player, real player or Quick time player. I think my problem has to do with codecs. I do use a windows vista home premium in a toshiba laptop
In general, a DAT file is a generic data file that contains data in text or binary format. They are typically found as winmail.dat files in email attachments, created by Microsoft Exchange Servers. The DAT can be created by a couple of other programs as .dat files as well.
You can check on this article "DAT Video Player Download and Operation Tips" to find some programs to play DAT file.
Hi,
You can use Media Player Classic or vlc media player to play VCD's
Get Media Player Classic here >>>>>>>>
http://mpc-hc.sourceforge.net/
Get vlc media player here >>>>>>>>>>>
http://www.videolan.org/vlc/
If i were you i'd download and install both the Media Players. You can play HD movies with Media player classic and just about anything with vlc media player.
Regards.
