Nokia N97- AMAZING FACTS!!!

d019b14.gif DID U KNOW???
…that by pressing any key on the top row of the keyboard (with the exception of Backspace) from the homescreen will bring up the Dialer?
…that by pressing the Shift key twice, this will allow you to type in CAPS LOCK but you can’t do this at the beginning of a sentence?
…that by pressing the Function key twice, this will allow you to type in SYM LOCK.
…that by holding the Sym key and pressing any vowel key or the ‘C’ or ‘N’ key, you will get accents above or below the letter? Pressing the letter key multiple times while holding the Sym key will cycle through the different accents (only vowels have multiple accents however).
…that the scroll key in the middle of the D-Pad functions like an OK/Options button?

What is the blue button for on my acer travelmate 3230

The blue button (on nearly all notebook computers) is a "Function" shift key. Since space is a concern on portable computers, it is appealing to have each key on the keyboard do "double duty" We are familiar with this, using the SHIFT key, to capitalize and to select the symbols above the numbers on the top of the keyboard (ex. SHIFT/8 is an *)
Similarly, there are blue images on some of the keys that can be accessed by pressing the Blue FUNCTION key along with that key (just like you would use a SHIFT key to select a capital letter). Sometimes, these icons can be a bit cryptic, so consult your manual or Google "Travelmate 3230 keyboard".

Hope this helps.

Function key for Rupee symbol in lenovo keyboard?

Maybe you have to Press and Hold the FN function key at the lower left portion of the keyboard then hit key 4 to get the rupee. Or it might be Press and Hold the ALT or CTRL key then hit key 4 to get it.

The key to know which key to Press and Hold is notice the color of the rupee symbol on key 4, then Press and Hold either the FN function key, Alt key or Ctrl that is the same color as the rupee.

Instead of getting the @ symbol when I press shift +2 i get "

you need to hold down ctrl and function on the left side of your keyboard, and then hit the shift key on the right side of your keyboard. Then let go of right shift while still holding down the control and function keys, and then hit right shift again.

these blue keys are french keys. if you change your keyboard settings to english US or UK, it will get rid of the blue functions, but for some reason, they tend to turn themslves back on again after time. Most likely due to automatic updates followed by an auto restart. Also, I find that the issue only arises if I am in my hotmail account.....no issue in Word docs.

How to block VGA port on my laptop

in most cases, you can switch between display modes by using the function keys. the keys from F1 to F12 on your keyboard should contain various symbols (sometimes in blue). one of those symbols looks like the front of a monitor (on some laptops it says "LCD/CRT"). look for the key with the monitor symbol (or the text "LCD/CRT"), press and hold the Fn-key on the bottom line of your keyboard and then press the display mode function key. then you will see if the image on your display switch from one screen to the other.
if you cannot find such a key, you can disable the external display by right-clicking your desktop and choosing properties from the drop-down menu. on the "settings"-tab you should be able to see two virtual displays. click on display 2 and then uncheck the box that says "extend my windows desktop onto this monitor".

Samsung d900i

hello!

can you please try this if it will work on your phone

-- Go to a text field first, then press the RIGHT-soft key (not LEFT-soft key that the manual incorrectly states) to see a menu pop in the right bottom corner of the screen.

-- The menu shows Emoticons, abc, 123, Symb, etc

-- Select "Sym", and the popup dialog presents a full list of available symbols.

-- Use the Navigation button on the phone keyboard to go to the underscore symbol
-- press OK to input it into the text field.

or

-- hold down the # key for a few seconds and it will display the symbols

-- select the underscore
