Hold the button for 10 seconds before it stops blinking. then it blinks indicating the charging process correctly.

The only other option the ic chip strictly allows forgoes all of these processes. including removing the battery. lol

SO, If that still doesn't work. Remove the battery latch, insert battery again while plugged into wall. Hold the button and repeat this unil it flashes for more then 10 seconds. Then let it charge.

for more fun ... remove the plug from the wall completely. hold the button in while plugging into wall. observe. hold the button and remove plug from wall. observe. Open the xtra solar Kodak division at http://www.weedbox.net lol

Either an error occurred during charging, an AC power disruption occurred during charging, the wrong AC power adapter is being used, batteries are over- discharged, batteries are defective, or no batteries are installed in the camera.
Try charging the batteries a couple of times. If that fails, try charging the batteries in an external charger. If the batteries still will not charge, purchase new batteries and try again

Camera will not turn on

I have had the same problem. Can be of two things.
1) Issue with the charging circuit. When you plug your charger on it should indicate a yellow light. If not, either your charger is not working or your charging circuit is not working. Go to the store and get them checked.
2) Issue with the battery contacts. Simply take out the battery and get a cotton bud and clean the battery contact both on the battery and inside the battery compartment.
3)Issue with the charging circuit and the internal circuitry. You will have to take it to the KoDAK store. I would recommend buying a new one.

Kodak easyshare won't work unless plugged into charger

Hello Pam, You have either a faulty contact for the battery or your battery is suffering from age. After time these camera batteries lose their capacity. Try a new fully charged battery.

Brand new out of the box. Does not appear to charge. When plugged into the charger, no flashing light that indicates charging.

Very occasionally could be power cord problem. But in this case I think there is problem in the charger. Less possible in the battery. I assume that this unit came with warranty, so I strongly suggest to give it back to seller for diagnostics.

My Kodak Easyshare V1233 will only power up when plugged into the wall charger. Even after staying on the charger it will not power on unless plugged in.

Kodak has 3 types of charger that can be connected to a wall socket
USB AC Adapter - is especially useful when traveling, away from your computer, or just plain on-the-go. Connect your camera's USB cable to the adapter and plug it into a wall outlet to conveniently charge your camera.
5V AC Adapter - Provides in-camera charging for all KODAK EASYSHARE M and V Series Digital Cameras
Input: AC 100-240 V 50/60 Hz Output : DC 5.0 V
3V AC Adapter - Provides direct power to your camera but it will not charge the camera battery
Input: AC 100-240 V 50/60 Hz Output : DC 3.0 V

* You need to check the type of adapter your using. If your using the 5V AC adapter or USB adapter and the camera won't charge the battery contact kodak support line 1 800 235 6325 (23KODAK) for possible repair.

Camera dock does'nt work

If the light indicating the charging status is off, remove the batteries from the camera and make sure that you are using the Kodak Ni-MH Rechargeable Battery Pack KAA2HR. THis is the only battery that will charge on the dock. If you are using the correct battery and it still does work, better to get a rapid charger instead.
