I do not see a question. "Which input goes with the cable channel?" Don't understand. Is there a cable box or SAT box connected to the TV? What kind of cable is running to the TV from the source? If you just have the coax cable going from the wall to the TV, then you need to auto format the channels. Select menu on the TV remote. Find Sources or Cable. Select "Cable" not "Air". Select Auto Format. May take several minutes. Input selector from TV remote should be "TV".

Not able to connect my cable reciver to my rca L32HD31R

  1. Connect the RCA Output on you Cable Receiver to the RCA Input on your RCA TV, taking note of which Input you plugged into, e.x. DVD, GAME, etc.
  2. Turn on your Cable Receiver, and your TV.
  3. On your RCA TV, change the Input to the Input you plugged your Cable Receiver into.
  4. You should now be able to change channels using your cable box, and view it on your TV.

I just purchased a new RCA 32 inch w/ DVD. When starting up it asks if you will use Cable or Air. I have Dish Satellite and picked air. I only get one channel and if I try to go up or down channels I get a...

You should not have had to choose cable or air. When you have satellite it is considered the same thing as cable. Air is over the air rabbit ears antenna free programming. When you are connecting a satellite receiver you only have to turn to channel 3 or pick the correct av, component or hdmi input. Oh you must be connecting more than one television to the same satellite receiver. When that is the case tv #2 usually has to be set on a different channel and the satellite tv company tells you which channel. You still use the satellite remote to change channels and leave this television on one channel at all times. This television is good enough for its own hd satellite receiver connected with component cables or an hdmi cable though in order for you to see its full potential for displaying hd programs.

Satellite connection to tv doesnt recognize

At least you know the set does work. I'm also assuming your satellite receiver is working and that all your cables are good.

There are two ways to hook up to the TV: RF (antenna) and the A/V jacks. Maybe the seller was using the RF input (the threaded round connector where you screw on a cable connection, then choose channels with the set's tuner), and you're trying to connect using the A/V jacks (the red, white and yellow RCA jacks). If that's the case you need to switch the TV to those inputs. You may need the original remote to do that if the TV doesn't have a front panel TV/AV button.

The other possibility is you're connecting the satellite receiver to the RF connector and the TV isn't on the right channel (usually channel 3 or 4). If you're using the RF input, have the TV autoprogram and it should find the channel. Most sets can do that from the front panel menu button.

Hope this helps. Thanks for sing Fixya!

Unstable signal

Hi,
Are you sure it says unusable signal instead of unstable signal.
This means that you have the wrong input in place in the tv. If you got the original remote with it there may be an input button. on it. Some RCA's use 00 for the video input. If your cable goes directly to the antenna connector on the back you should get all channels when you do auto search in the menu provided you have the right input programmed. If you are using a cable box the tv must be on channel 3 or 4. video input uses rca cables red white and yellow to the proper input on the tv but there again the input must be set correctly. Possibly in the menu do a search there. Hope this helps.

Cannot get DVD to Play on TV

Try the old RCA/GE channels of 90/91 or 92 to get to the inputs. Or try entering channel 00. Let me know if that works.
