Hi,

I think this is related to to the NIC (Ethernet port).

Go into the BIOS and set it to default settings, see if that resolves the problem.

Let me know how you get on.

Regards.

Hp pavilion a4311f, hp support assistant still frozen and 'a error occured'

Restart your computer
During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup usually the delete or F2 key

Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS using the arrow keys load failsafe defaults or load optimized defaults press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart if this fails to fix the problem

During the boot process tap the f8 button three times this will boot into safe mode where the only things working will be your mouse and keyboard enabling you to attempt to repair your computer

you could select the option start at last known configuration that worked this will tell what file has been corrupted or missing you might be able to work your way through problem if you are unable to find a solution

restart back into safe mode you might need to select your operating system to load into safe mode

click start control panel administration tools computer management in the left panel events + to expand then system you will see all errors in right panel right click select properties this will tell you what has occurred and the time it occurred

you might use the system restore to restore your system to an earlier time
click start all programs accessories system tools you should see your system restore option

hope this helps you

I suppose your recovery disks could be bad. You can get another set from Toshiba. I'm also concerned about the health of the hard drive. Did you need to run recovery because the system crashed, because it may not have been an operating sysem crash but rather a hard drive crash. Have the harddrive or whole laptop checked by a reoutable repair person or check my website: www.micromendllc.com

Ps3 error 80028f17

Error code 80028F17 can mean two things:

Either

1. "Ps2 disc Boot Error , An error occurred during the start operation; Ps2 game swapped using the eject function and then play pressed quickly - Backup ps2 game inserted again". From here.

Or

2. Happens when you try to play "C&C - Red Alert Retaliation" for PS3 from the PlayStation Store. See here for more information.
