4 flashes usually indicates trouble in the vertical circuits. Replace the Vertical output IC and the bypass 220mf Cap. to insure reliability. I don`t know about not hearing the relay click, you may have just blown the power fuse or also may have to troubleshoot the the power supply. ------ Eagle2
This means one of three things, either the lamp is bad on your tv, the ballast that powers the lamp is bad or the safety switch for the lamp door is not depressed or it has come un-plugged. It could also mean the power supply or fuse on the power board is blown. I am assuming this is a DLP tv, and if so, it is fairly easy to fix it or find parts for it online. If you are slightly mechanically inclined, want to save money and dont mind paying attention to detail then you can fix it yourself. If you need help dont hesitate to ask.

If the power supply IC (MX0842) shorts out, it blows the Sony 0.1 ohm fuse resistor. The set will click but have no sound or picture and the LED will blink 5 times. The power supply should be repaired by someone with experience with Sony TV's.
