Squirt in some pnuematic oil where you hook up the hose, and hook up the hose. Pull the trigger and work the wrench forward and backward several times. Make sure the forwards/backwards slide bolt(mechanism) goes all the way both ways. Good luck, best regards.

Why wont the heater blow out hot air in my 1995 pontiac bonneville. it will only blow cool air

If the heater hoses are getting hot, the problem may be a faulty blend door under the dash. The blend doors direct air thru the heater core and the vents.

Gas fireplace wont stay lit- it is a sealed unit so can taccess the pilot or gas holes in the logs. is it safe to remove glass panel?

Yes, removing the glass is safe, if you do it carefully, so as not to break it. Put it well out of your way, after removing it. In fact, removing it is the only way to access and service the Pilot Assembly and the Burners.

If the pilot won't stay lit, there are several things that can cause this on a Direct Vent Gas Fireplace:
  • The direct vent on the outside of the house is block or clogged.
  • Wind is blowing back through the direct vent, blowing out the pilot.
  • Low gas pressure
  • A dirty pilot.
  • The thermocouple and/or Thermopile (part of the pilot assembly) has failed.
If you can provide me with the make and model number of your gas fireplace, I may be able to furnish you with an Owners Manual, that will help you to continue to troubleshoot the problem.

Hope this helped you.

Air conditioner wont work

You need to check your freon level. Go to your auto parts store and pick up a can of freon with a gauge and follow the directions on the can.

It wont detect a dvd on my acer aspire 5315 laptop

If your laptop won't detect DVD drive try and check connection first. Turn your laptop upside down and remove three maybe four screw (deepens on laptop) directly over a DVD drive and pull drive out. Blow some compressed air inside of laptop and check for anything abnormal on drive itself. Then put it back in and check if it works. If not it's either bad DVD drive or bad motherboard. Thanks and good luck.

Heater will not blow hot air. it blows cold air and fan blows. new thermostat and full radiator

The heater core is possibly blocked or the temperature adjuster is not working.

First check the controls to be certain that the temperature aduster is working and the flaps/doors that direct the flow of hot air are working.

If they are..........

Check heater hose temp. If one is hot and one is cold, you are not getting flow through the heater core.

Bleed it to remove an air blockage.
If that does not work, flush the system.
If that does not work, replace the heater core.

Heat wont work on drivers side of car.Only blows cold air even when control setting is up to 90 degrees. Passenger side works properly.

there is a flap inside the venting that directs the air. This vent can get stuck. It is controlled by a vacuum controlled actuator. It can be leaky or a hose is disconnected

1999 cadillac deville air wont work

There's a blower motor (fan) under the hood and up against the firewall near the center of the car that takes some work to remove. It has gone out in the last 2 of my 4 Cadillacs. Turns out if you're not real careful with the positioning of the spark plug wires they will brush up against it, and if one of them gets cracked or brittle it will "arc" and short out the blower motor. The a/c compressor should still come on (you'll hear a click when it engages) but you won't get any air blowing into the cabin, hot or cold.

The part was like $200 stock (year 2000 prices) and it took about an hour to remove it. My Caddy at that time had this damn strut bar going across the engine bay which we eventually removed to get to the blower motor.

Heater

Try spinning the knob real fast in either direction. Sounds stupid but it worked for me.
