Frigidaire top load washer FWS933FS not filling

On large load washer does not seem to be filling all the way. It stops filling about 4 inches from ring - old washer filled much higher - only using cold water, could that have something to do with it???

Frigidaire Top Load Washer Model # FW933FS2, when starting a load of laundry it begins to agitate but no water enters the drum. What do I need to fix this problem?

Hello James, thank you for your post!

I understand that your Frigidaire washer will start to agitate and no water will enter the drum. This could be an issue with your water valve or the control panel. I would check to make sure the water lines are opened and the connections are not restricted or damaged. If the water hoses are not damaged you may need to have a professional technician out to perform a proper diagnosis. This will help you to avoid any unnecessary part purchases. Good luck! -Matt

The washer will not fill all the wayto the top.yourmachine is functioning properly.when you have an empty tub and put it on super load and fill it up there should be 12 to 14 inches of water in the tub. that is the normal operating settings for your washer.

Frigidaire top load washer model number FWS6600ES0: during the wash and rinse cycles... whether it's filling or agitating on either... water seems to be draining causing the machine to stop and start...

If it has detected SUDs it may be trying to rid them. Is your drain hose at least 30 inchs above the floor? If is ain't then gravity may be causing the problem. Is the drain hose jammed tightly into the drain? This may cause a siphoning effect.

Frigidaire washer starts to fill then stops

Check the water level fill sensor. Some used to be pneumatic tubes connected to a sensor. Your washer may have a different type of sensor. It seems like it fills ant gets to a point where it expects the fill sensor to trip but instead just stops. Also re check ALL connections to main drive motor.
Also verify your mains power can handle the draw of the rated wattage. When it goes to engage the main drive motor it may not have enough current from the mains and simply stops.
Also check that the connection to the tumbler drum is not frozen.

Washer will not fill up completely

  • The drain standpipe is too short.
To prevent siphoning, the standpipe must be at least 33 inches high for a top load washer or 24 inches high for a tumble action washer. Refer to the installation instructions that came with your washer for more information.
  • Drain hose fits too tightly in the standpipe causing siphoning.
There must be an air gap between the drain hose and the standpipe to prevent siphoning action. The standpipe needs to be at least 1 1/4 inches in diameter.
