Yes any door swing can be reversed.take a good look and you will see the screws covered up with plastic covers .the door has to be removed first but check it out and you will see its not a big job get everything ready and it can be done within 10 minutes.adrian,,,,

Can you reverse the door swing on a upright freezer. Frididaire model fffh17f1rwo

Hi Debbie,

I'm sorry, but I don't think so. There is a key that pops out when you lock it so I doubt the door can be reversed.

See page 8 of this manual under Optional Features and reversing the door swing is not listed.

On the positive side, it does have a high consumer satisfaction rate.

Happy 4th! :-)

Reversing door

Hello Graham;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service refrigeration technician.

Some freezers have pre-marked holes for reversing the door. Inspect the opposite side of where your door hinges are. Also inspect the opposite side of where your door handle is to see if there are pre-marked holes.
The trick of reversing the door is the door alignment. Have someone hold up one side while you tighten the door hinges. You may have to loosen the hinges and repeat this process to get good alignment.

If there are no pre-existing holes you may try to drill them your self, but you must be exact in the location of the holes. Make sure you can move the door handle.

If your temperature control is on the door do not attempt this, the wiring harness is too short.

110v surge protector that conserves power for freezer

A surge protector for a freezer is a good idea. To conserve energy? On paper it looks good but seriously only real savings are on bigger equipment.

Door does not stay sealed when closed.

first make sure there is nothing inside stopping the door from closing , the freezer should be level, and the door should swing close on its own free will. the door can be tweaked by bending it back into shape .or by setting the top hinge bracket, it should have three 5/16 bolts, that will alow you to ''square the door''. but most of the time it's something in the way of the door.. look close and remove some items that you think might be in the way, then remove some more

What could cause an evaporator coil to freeze up on a true t-19f. Also what is the suction pressure on this model.

Hello
Could be low on freon,i belive this model uses 134A.

So the suction pressure should be 31 to 35 psig, for a temp of 36 to 40.f

Also check the defrost timer and the door seal. The eveap should have a drain line on it, make sure this is working and not plugged.
