My Westinghouse Led flat screen TV freezes. TV is approximately 2 years old and not watched that often. From the internet, it seems the problem is quite common.

When the TV is OFF, the power supply, main board are still running 24/7 since it has to be able to receive the signals from the remote or from the switches on the TV, so it is never really off at all.
You are lucky it last 2 years, some of them TV I work on are less than 2 years old.
This an be the main board or the T-CON board problem.

Colored Lines Destorted Picture

I had the same problem , sent it into the shop and they said it was a capacitor . It is a $3.00 part and $75.00 for labor . But it did fix the problem . The labor charge was inflated I'm sure so if you someone who can do it and just get the part ,would be the way to go.
