This is probably due to miss alignment, there is an option of test page which will be scanned to allign the cartridge, if ur's a all in one printer. This test page is printed at the first time and scanned instantly for first time operation.
hello, try to print a test page with the printer itself , in the users manual there should be a way to do that without connecting it to a computer. if the test page is OK ,than try to replace the cable and/or print from another comp. if the test page fails ,you can try to load a new firmware from the manufacturer site. good luck.
the page should be absolutely new.and the scanner glass should be absolutely cleaned.and 1 main thing u replaced your black cartridge.but if your colour cartridge is empty it will not accept the allignment complete thing.it will show allignment failed as the particular colour is missing in your allignment sheet which is required to get the allignment complete.
you can also print the allignment page from the printer.from the printer properties.by going in to the services option.
there it will be listed .
clean the cartridges.
print a test page.
allign the print cartridges.
you can select the option which you require.
go to the printer properties and then click the services option in it and there are three options self test--- cleaning---and allignment--- click allignment.and it will allign.
right, this problem sounds like it might be something you can fix easily, firstly check through your printer menu and you should find an option such as allignment test page, select this and it will go through a cycle printing off various pages to make sure the cartridges are correctly alligned, if this fails then it could be a dry rail, this is the rail that the cartridges run along, run your finger along this (for safety do this with machine off) and if it fells like there is a lot of friction then simply add a drop of oil (oridinary car oil can be used) and spread across the rail. if this fails then please let me know
Hi Lera, In you brother suite you can go to the maintanence tab and do the nozzle clean and print head allignment. After you do that print a test page, either from the suite on in the properties of your printer. You can also do general maintanence from the LCD screen on the MFC. Scroll through the menu and you will find there are options for head cleaning and nozzle allignment. Hope this helps.
