HP Officejet 6310 - fax error code 350*

I only receive this error code when faxing to one certain number. all other numbers seem to send and receive like normal. i have done the recommended steps on the HP troubleshooting website and in the error code section and spoken with the remote fax location to ensure no issues there. both lines are dedicated to fax and there are no known service issues in either area. i also disabled the ECM feature with no success.

is this error associate with anything else i can try to check?

same issue with both a hp 6210 and a hp 6310. out of many numbers faxed to, receive the 350 error code and will not fax to two numbers. don't know how to go about fixing since works fine to all other numbers.

We are having issues faxing to one particular number. We think our fax goes through, but spits out a Error 345*. Nothing is sent

fax machines talk to each other before sending data to ensure that the sender/receiver are on the same format and are compatible
for one particular number to be a problem indicates a fax number problem in setting the dialed number area code , dashes etc are all specific
ring the receiving department and ask to confirm that they are having trouble receiving faxes from your number as well

I have an HP L7780. We are having an issue receiving faxing. The pages are often only 1/4 complete. There is no reported error. It doesn't happen all the time.

Send a fax on this number
1-888 HP FAX ME (1-888-473-2963)

and see whether you receive a fax from hp or not whenever HP receives a fax from any number it sends back a fax to prove the functionality you can say.

the reason behind reviving the 1/4th fax can be fault at sender's end

HP 6310 All-in-One. How do I get a fax confirmation?

If you need printed confirmation that your faxes were successfully sent, follow these instructions to enable fax confirmation before sending any faxes. Select either On Fax Send or Send & Receive.

The default fax confirmation setting is Off. This means that the HP All-in-One will not print a confirmation report for each fax sent or received. A confirmation message indicating whether a fax was successfully sent appears briefly on the display after each transaction.

To enable fax confirmation from the control panel

1. Press Setup.

2. Press 2, and then press 3.

This selects Print Report and then selects Fax Confirmation.

3. Press to select one of the following, and then press OK.

Off Does not print a fax confirmation report when you send and

receive faxes successfully. This is the default setting.

On Fax Send Prints a fax confirmation report for every fax you send.

Fax

On Fax Receive Prints a fax confirmation report for every fax you receive.

Send & Receive Prints a fax confirmation report for every fax you send and

receive.

My fax machine was working great up until this morning. I am able to send faxes but not receive them. The machine is hooked up to the phone jack and shares the line with our credit card machine. It is not...

It's entirely possible that your fax machine will just miraculously start working again. If it was hooked up to your computer you'd possibly be getting an error message, which when interpreted by its code number, would tell you it's not receiving the phone signals correctly for a period of time but soon will.

Hope I'm right,

I need to change the name on outgoing faxes from my HP 6310 Officejet, but cannot find the information in the owner's manual. Can you help?

This "Fax header" information can be changed on the OfficeJet 6310 control panel:

1) Press the <Setup> button
2) Press 4, then press 1
3) Enter your personal or company name
4) Enter your fax number

You may have to use the numeric keypad to enter letters. The number of presses of the key changes the letter.

I hope this helps!

Error 350

Error 350 means...
The remote machine has failed to respond to a fax command from the local machine due to the connection being interrupted. These errors can occur if the phone lines in the area to be faxed are old or there is noise (static on the phone line). Other reasons can include power outages and other power related problems.
OR
The call waiting service can cause this error. The click, heard for an incoming call, is actually a momentary disconnect of the line.
OR
The remote user has pressed the Stop key while the reception was in progress.
OR
Under rare conditions incompatibility between the two machines may cause the remote machine to simply abandon the call.

Try this solution...
*Re-attempt the fax reception at a different time when telephone line conditions have improved. Call the telephone provider if line conditions fail to improve.
*Disable ECM. Errors may still occur, and may result in a degraded image quality on the received page. However, the ability to transmit the entire document will be improved. (To turn off the ECM, simply press the setup button on the pritner, use the right arrow and select advance fax setup on the options. Press ok under advance fax setup. Use the right arrow and select Error Correction Mode. Press ok and select Off.)
*Try sending at a lower transmission speed. (To lower the transmission speed. Press the setup button, go to advance fax setup. under advance fax setup, look for Fax speed. change the fax speed to slow)

After you have done the T/S, try sending a fax again.
Hope this would resolved your issue.
