I got a Philips gogear Vibe 4GB MP4 player today. After charging its battery to maximum I've installed the Philips Songbird program then put a couple of songs on it. I removed it from the usb cable then in started to update itself but now it's stuck at 99% and won't do a thing even if I try to turn it off and on again. Seems frozen to me then again I'm no expert. Please help me!

When you have windows media player open and you plug in the device, does a tab open on the right of media player to indicate that a device has been plugged in?
In songbird bring up your video(s) you want to add. Select then drag and drop to the Vibe list. Songbird will place it in the correct format and place it in the correct spot on your Vibe. do not use suggested programs they are junk windows Media player does not support proper formatting. and soft29.com you will have a bunch of adware and and other bloat ware included. Stay with songbird for proper format and transfer.
Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine thetype of video file format it uses.
Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI andWMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX.
If your player cannot play a video then it is an incompatiblevideo file format, then you need to convert that video file to a format thatyour MP3 player uses.

Gogear Vibe can be SA1xxx or SA2xxx and the supported video file types are different. I think you have SA2xxx bacause it uses mp4 format. In this case:
To ensure playback of video files such as .mp4:
Always use Philips Songbird to transfer the files.
Make sure Quick Time (latest version) and Windows Media Player 11 (or higher) has been installed before Philips Songbird is installed.
Visit the following websites for Quick Time and Windows Media Player:
Try the repair function of the Songbird software and restore VIBE to the factory settings. Before you proceed, bach up your files stored on VIBE if possible because the following procedure erases all files you have on the player: 1: Launch the Philips Songbird on the PC 2: In the Philips Songbird menu bar (at the top), click on the Tools pull-down menu and then select Repair My VIBE. 3: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the repair procedure. I hope this will help you. If you haven't Songbird it can be downloaded from Philips website: www.p4c.philips.com/ Thanks gylacz
