Any sockets will fit the ratchet, 3/8 drive, the impact drive is 1/2 drive, and they make hardened sockets for it. And I can't really make out the last tool there in the kit. The impact tool will take normal sockets for reg duty use but not for wheel lugs and such, they will crack, but if you buy Craftsman, they will replace it. I have only cracked one in thirty years. But I also have the hardened set of sockets. Hope this helps.

I have the same problem, brand new impact wrench, brand new impact sockets, but can't get a socket onto the gun. Leaned on it with all my weight, wiggled, nothing. and yes they are both 1/2" drive. WTH?
Make sure the fitting are tight on the hose and gun.
Also make sure that the switch for forward/reverse is solidly in one position, if it is not it will cause what you described.
Poulan makes a tool, part # 530031112, with two prongs that fit the grooves on the sides of the clutch. It fits most Poulan saws and trimmers made in at least the last decade. I use a butterfly impact and 3/4 impact socket and turn CLOCKWISE to remove. There should by an arrow and the word off stamped on the clutch This is the tool... That should work for you. Dwain

try a six point 14mm or 17mm .socket...make sure to use a thin wall socket because sometimes a impact socket will not fit due to thickness... try a chrome deep 14mm or 17mm six point socket with a 7in extention..and break them loose first by hand with a breaker bar or long handled rachet...be careful if useing a air impact tool.because sometimes the headbolt are so tight they begin to strip on the head of the bolt and then u will have a problem
* Proper match between air compressor and tool ratings.
* Correct fittings that match the tool and air hose.
* Well-maintained air compressor and air hose.
* Correct air pressure adjustment for the tool being used.
Squeeze 4-5 drops of pneumatic tool oil into the air fitting daily. If you use the tool all day, repeat the process half-way through the day. If you don't use the tool very often, just oil it when the tool is used.
An air-powered impact wrench runs off of an air compressor with a tank – the air compressor should have at least a 10 gallon tank and be able to generate at least 3hp. Also, an impact wrench requires special sockets that are designed to withstand the high torque applied by the wrench.
