Intex Krystal Clear Model 635 Pool Filter Pump 1500 Gph Logo
Posted on Jun 25, 2010

The water flow from my pump slows to almost nothing after 5 or 10 minutes. I change the filter and it has a great flow for a few minutes then slows to a trickle.

I have sort of the same problem...sort of. Intex 14x48 pool with pump upgrade. When I turned the pump on it sounded sick. I thought I had cavitation but checked all my lines. No leaks. Took the pump off the system and checked it with a dry run. Impeller sounded and appeared to be impeded. Opened everything up and couldn't find anything impeding the impeller operation. Put it back together and turned it on...then I heard the familiar hummmmmmm of a working, unrestricted impeller. Put the pump back in line with the system, primed the pump and started her up...hmmmmmm, giggle, girgle, girlie...same old thing. I can't figure it out. Thinking of just buying another one.

There are screens at the hose connections to the pump and at the inside pool outlets and inlets. Check to make sure their clear. Also be sure your using a New filter not one you have cleaned off.

LG WF T1330TP. When it fills up with water, the flow is very slow. Checked the filters, the water pressure and solenoid, all clean and working fine. Where else could the problem be?

There are a few other potential causes for slow water flow in a washing machine:
  1. Clogged or partially clogged water inlet valve: The water inlet valve is responsible for controlling the flow of water into the washing machine. If it is clogged or partially clogged, it can cause a reduction in water flow.
  2. Washing machine pump: The pump is responsible for moving water through the washing machine. If it is damaged or not functioning properly, it can cause a reduction in water flow.
  3. Water supply hose: The hose that supplies water to the washing machine may be clogged or damaged, which could cause a reduction in water flow.
  4. The washing machine itself: There could be an issue with the internal components of the washing machine that is causing the slow water flow.
If you have checked the filters, water pressure, and solenoid and they are all functioning properly, you may want to try checking the water inlet valve, pump, water supply hose, and the washing machine itself for any issues that could be causing the slow water flow.

Slow water flow

I would try the backwash as you suggest. Also, I had to run a few gallons of water through a new filter, for it to work properly..
Hope it helps.... good luck!

Old filter in and water started to sputter, made clunky noises and flow very slow. Removed filter and used plug - water ran fine not filtered.- Replaced with new Maytag filter and water sputtered, flow...

Hello there, when new filters are fitted usually they are expected to spurt for a little bit before they normalize and begin to flow properly. Dispense water continuously for 10 minutes. This usually arises when the flow of water through the unit not being allowed through properly and usually takes the new filter a couple of minutes to get accustomed to the water flow and get water circulating through all its components hence the spurts. Alternatively you can check to ensure that the water supply is turned on full and the filter is properly fitted. If all of these are in place then the dispense mechanism might be faulty.

My intex saltwater/pump system pumps water strong for about 20 minutes, then the flow slows down to a trickle. No warning beeps or lights come on. It ran strong for 9 hours as the manual stated when I...

Thank youfor posting your question here on Fixya.com. When a pump is shut off it gives the sediment in the filter a chance to become suspended in the water and not on the filter cartridge surface. When you turn the pump on this dirt does non restrict flow as much because it is not all on the filter and then it starts to collect there restricting again the flow. For this reason when this happens the filter cartridge needs to be removed and cleaned off with water from a hose with a spray attachment. The attachment should be set to a single strong jet. Once the filter is reassembled check to see how long it can go without reducing flow. I think you will be surprised.

Intake valve make a vibrating noise after a few minutes

From what you are explaining it sounds like the pump is taking on air, which I have seen when the water level is just a tad low & the pump creates a "vortex" at the skimmer box & air is sucked in. Double check the "flap" at the skimmer to make sure it is working properly (not stuck upright)

Fridge water filter replaced now flows very, very slow

Hi .. first I would try and eliminate the filter as the problem. Remove the filter and try the water again. If the water flows strong, then the filter is the problem. If the water stills sputters and is low flow, then there is a partial blockage in the internal tubing , or a problem with the supply. If you roll the fridge out to get at the suppl. you could shut it off and disconnect the supply tube from the fridge, then turn the water on slowly to check the flow at the supply. If the flow is good there , then the blockage is internal.

You problem is not the salt unit, your problem is PUMP related. You are getting good enough water flow. Check the pump as well as the filter. remove the filter cartridge and try the system without it. If the problem goes away then wash your filter and retest. If the problem comes back replace the filter cartridge. If the problem remains without the cartridge in place, you have a blockage in the plumbing which is preventing proper water flow.

Slow water flow on Whirlpool Gold 25.6 cubic

The water line tap may be screwed back into the water line or you did not sufficiently poke a hole into the water line with the tap. We had the same problem. Shut off the water supply, remove the tap from the line and check the size of the hole. my bet is the hole is very small. Either drill out the hole with a drill and replace the tap (with a new rubber grommet) or add a tee into the line with the proper size compression fitting (that is what we did) and the water will flow freely..
