Change the Operating System to "MS Windows XP" and the Category to "Video".
This discussion suggests that Windows Update will get you working drivers after a Windows 7 install:

Hey Tim,. Once you installed Windows 7 onto the hard drive you would need to have installed the drivers. The one driver that is needed for resolution is the video card. You can right click on the desktop and then choose screen ressolution to see if you can change the resolution. Unfortunately, Dell does not have any Windows 7 drivers for the Dimension 2350 system.

According to the AMD/ATI website, that video card chipset only supports Windows 98/98SE, ME, Win 2000 and XP. There's no mention of Windows Vista. Given that this isn't a relatively recent AMD/ATI release, it may or may not be supported under Windows 7 properly. It's almost a sure bet it won't do AERO properly - especially if it only has 64 MB of onboard video memory.
If you've got it installed in a computer with XP loaded, you can download the Vista Upgrade Advisor from Microsoft. It will tell you if you're going to have any problems with Vista. Windows 7 has a very similar driver model - and Vista drivers can be made to work with Windows 7. Good Luck,
All your drivers are available here, just select your chipset, lan, video and sound drivers, download them, unfold to some folder on desktop or root directory and run in this order:
1. Chipset 2. LAN 3. Video 4. Sound
As you did not mention if you installed windows 7 32 bits or 64bits, please selelct correct drivers!
Gateway doesn't seem to have a driver created for windows 7
The only alternative I could suggest is to try and download one from ATI's website, a Vista or windows 7 driver should work
When you re-insalled Windows XP, Windows didn't install the graphics driver because it didn't have a driver for your graphics card and it installed a generic VGA driver instead. You can check this by going into the Control Panel - Display etc.
Download the video driver and install it to fix your display problem.
You need to download the video driver from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the XP Windows version of the drivers you require.
