The metal covers that have the Plus sign ( + ) holes, are Expansion Slot Covers.

Insert a flat tipped screwdriver blade in the + sign hole.
Insert the screwdriver blade horizontally, in the + sign hole, on the right side. ( ---- , not vertical I )

Gently bring the back of the screwdriver down.
This will make the metal slot cover, bend the small metal tab that is holding it.

Go to the + sign hole on the Left side. Do the same on the Left side as the above.

Bring the back of the screwdriver up.

Keep working the metal expansion slot cover back, and forth, until the two small metal tabs that are holding it in, break.

Remove the metal expansion slot cover.

Before you begin, ensure that the expansion slot cover you wish to remove, lines up with the wireless adapter card.

I need 2 put a nvidia gforce2mx graphics card in my emachine ET1331G-03w. Is it possible

If you were to log on to the manufacturer's web site, I think you will be pleasantly surprised as usually one is able to download, by model number, Driver downloads as required.

Just Google the manufacturer's name and follow the links. Make certain you are directed to the manufacturer's web site as some search engines direct you to other sites and they charge for the information that is normally free of charge.

I hope this helps.

Emachine ET1331G-03w Documentation

Hi there,

To install an IDE CD rom, you will need to open your computer and you will see an IDE Slot, your computer usually has two of them either directly next to each other or under each other, there is usually one white one and one blue one. IDE Slots look like this:
2604eb7.jpg

The white IDE Slot is usually for the Hard Disks and the blue IDE Slot id usually for the CD Roms.

The white IDE Slot is the Primary Slot and the blue is the secondary.

You will need an IDE cable to plug in to your blue IDE Slot then you will need to plug the cable in to your CD Rom and make sure that your CD Rom is set to run/work as the master. If your computer only has one IDE Slot or you do not have an extra IDE Cable you can plug the CD Rom in to the Primary IDE Slot with the Hard Disk assuming you are only using one Hard Disk.

If you are going to use the Primary IDE Slot you will need to make sure that your CD Rom is set to run/work as a slave and it must not be set as the master. The way to change it is by moving the pins at the back of the CD Rom, they are found at the back next to the place where you plug the IDE Cable in to or next to the power input. You will be able to tell if your CD Rom is set as a slave or as a master by checking the image on the top part of the CD Rom, this image will tell you how to set your CD Rom as a master or as a slave.

Thank you for using FixYa! Have a nice day and please remember to rate this solution.
