Tries websites like Ebay.com,Amazon.com to dicuss with those vendors that sell LCD,Plasma tvs wall mounts and base stands, they'll help with the right choices with base stand.
Place the tv on its screen flat on a soft surface,
you need to remove all the screws, not just the stand one marked.
Lift the back panel and then you will be able to slide down the stand, when you have removed the back cover you will also see where how your wall mount will fit to the chassis.
Place all the screws back on the back lid.
I just purchased this unit and briefly looked at removing the stand though I haven't taken it off yet. Anyways, I think you need to remove the black metal mounting frame from the TV before trying to unscrew the stand (4 screws) from the metal frame. After the frame is off the TV, I think you can then get at a couple of hidden screws to remove the stand from frame. I don't know if the frame goes back on the TV or not.
Most LCD HDTV televisions come with the option to remove the base, refer to your manual for proper instructions on removing the base. But make sure the TV is certified for wall mounting before you do anything - some are not certified and will not be wall mountable.
The 4 screws that are commnly used are short because they are ususally wide in diameter. Besides if they are too long then they might damage the boards on the TV.
