If you are referring to the ice maker water supply it usually connects to the hot water line of the kitchen sink by using a saddle valve like the ones that come in an "ice maker connection kit"

Error f20 w/ water coming out hot inlet (not hooked up)

yeah you need to connect the other hose because the mix valve just below that does not seal one or the other..those switches work with the water pressure..thats why the errror showed up..

No instructions came with the dishwasher and i dont know where the water line goes i cant find it

The water line hooks up underneath the dishwasher, it connects to a water valve, usually blue in color. You'll need to make sure the water line is slid underneath the dishwasher, and then make sure the bottom kick-plate is removed from the dishwasher, to do this.

I need to hook up 3/4 cpvc water supply line to water meter

I went to Home Depot for the same reason.Ended up getting a brass fitting with a cpvc insert that excepted the cpvc pipe to be glued into brass fitting once it was screwed in place.Came out about a foot then used a coupler to join both cpvc pipes so in the future I can replace meter without cutting pipe.Im not a plummer just a home owner who cant afford one so I dont know if I did it right but it works.

Reinstalling a washer and dryer and i know which line is hot and which one is cold coming out of the washer ing machine but i dont know which line is hot and which is cold when hooking it back up the the...

If the pipes were installed properly, then the hot is on the left, cold on right.

Hook it up that way, then set it on the smallest load possible, with hot water setting only. If you have hot water filling the basin, you have it hooked up properly.

Dishwashers don't heat water to clean dishes. It is supposed to be hooked to the hot water line, make sure it is the hot water line.
