The washing machine works perfectly fine. however for the lcd screen no words show up but there is still a light. how would i go about getting this fixed? cheers x

Charging and monitor issues

If your AC Adapter and Power Cord is working fine, then your new battery has a problem if it will not charge. Just because it is new does not mean it will work.

As for your Monitor, try the steps below. Because it works with an external monitor, we know your Video Card is working fine, so the problem is either the LCD Inverter or the Lcd Screen itself is bad.

Shine a flashlight on the dark screen to see if you barely see the icons on the desktop. If so, then the LCD Inverter is bad.

If you see no icons by shinning a flash light and the external monitor works, then your screen is bad. If you see no icons by shinning the flash light and nothing shows on the external monitor, then most likely your video card is bad.

Well my epson projector fell and now the screen doesn't play it just shows the white screen but the audio works perfectly fine.

~ power on the unit and disconnect all sources (dvd,computer,etc) * if it shows "No Signal" and Blue screen, the unit is ok~ try using another cables

Water pumping in very slowly and uneven flow

Hi,
The washer filling so slowly can get very irritating and frustrating..most of the time the fix is very simple. The hoses have a screen in them to catch any dirt that may come in the water and this screen plugs up.
Simply unhook the hoses at the washer and clean the screens.

Error Message

I called the Hotpoint helpline and the solution to this problem was simple:

I had to press and hold the start/cancel button until all the lights on the display flashed
then I had to press and hold the start/cancel button along with the on/off button together at the same time, until the word "dOFF" was displayed... the msachine then functioned as normal.

Easy when you know how!

I have had this problem recently myself and would like you to know that it is possible to fix. The white screen error or otherwise known as "white screen of death" is caused by the lcd color screen on the ipod itself. That is why its functions still work but the screen does not. Once you replace the color screen it will be as good as new.

The back light for the lcd display off

I would bet on a failed FL Inverter board which is the board that runs the backlight.

However, if your LCD is RED before it goes dark your backlight has failed. Given the age of the machine you will probably have to get parts from ebay.

If you can tell me the part number of the machine (on the serial number sticker) - I can look up what inverter or LCD you need - there are several different screens the 6000 series uses that are NOT cross compatible.

Hi penie92 .Just read your posting.For the LCD screen not to show any characters then I am afraid you need a new display board.Could you please tell me what light is lit?Is this the light for the LCD display?Please reply with additional information and I can help you rectify this fault.

Hi just read your posting and sorry it took me awhile to get to you.Now with this additional information I am sure it is your display module which is faulty.The only thing that will make the display not show any characters is the display board being faulty.The only course of action to rectify this fault is to replace the display module.As this is an expensive part it would be wise to get a serviceman to confirm the fault,but I have seen this fault before and to rectify the problem I changed the display module.Also ring your local Fisher and Paykel spares parts dealer and get a quote for the part.If you do decide to buy only the part please reply and I can help you install it and match it up with your control module.I hope this helps and please reply to let me know what you have decided to do.Good luck.
