Sometimes a bluescreen pops up saying "reference by pointer" or "memory manager" "bad pool header" "irql not less or equal" And I can hear a weird annoying noise in my headphones which changes when the computer is loading something! What do I do?

In regards to getting the "irql_not_less_or_equal" BSOD this can be related to several things. You could be having a driver problem or a hardware related problem. To know exactually what your problem is we need to look at the stop code you are getting as well. The link below will show you what number I need to see exactually where your problem is.

Keep getting an error message irql not less or equal and system reboots. what do i do

IRQL errors are generally software/driver induced.
1st see if you can boot to the safe mode (F8 at boot) and get into windows.
If you can try a system restore to before the issue started.
If you can't get into windows, try Fn + power and run diagnostics on the system, you may have a bad hard drive.

My computer has gotten the bluescreen the past few days with an error message something like IRQL less than equal....now it says I have a configuration problem that must be resolved enable to start and run...

Download a bluescreen viewer application in order to fetch the exact stop error, as this is critical to identifying and resolving any possible hardware related problem. Then copy and paste the exact message and info.

HP Pavilion DV6 1108 notebook - Blue screen

Yes get and install the latest Video card drivers for you card & operating system, this may help, but FIRST, simply try going into Device manager, and Uninstalling the Driver for the Video card, reboot and let windows install the driver, it may install the "Generic" version, and that may fix your problem. as an aside sometimes it is the RAM on the Video card that goes faulty? Hopefully it will not be that.

I have a compaq nc6400 gives me blue screen of pfn lis corrupt and irql not less or equal i look up irql not less or equal and it's telling me that it's overheating and that maybe the ram is bad. help me,...

usually blue screen errors are related with the ram memory issues or ...corrupt (bad status) Hdd, but in your case probably one of the coolers doesnt work and it is overheating and forced to shut down suddenly ..,solution is to verify the ram memory ...and check the bios for any temperature limitations...and best is to restore the optimal defaults settings ...( factory defaults ) ...and also try to reinstall the operating system cause it might just have so issues ....also ...try to remove and replace the ram unit in its slot ..to be sure that its all ok ...
there is whatever the possibility that overheating damaged the ram memory already ,.and in this case it should be replaced... but this case its rare ...and ram memory if its not touched by hand ...usually has a life time exploitation period...
so ....either unlimited the maximum cpu temp allowed ..from bios...or find a way to install extra cooler fan...and reinstall for to be sure its all Ok...

Bsod on a ibm thinkpad t30 xp sp3

Normally this indicates some kind of resource conflict between device. Could be you just updated drivers for a device, or a new device was installed/used.
From the device manager you should be able to find out which devices have a resource conflict.
Other details on the driver irql not less or equal error might help you as well.

IRQ nOT LESS OR EQUAL HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP

irql not less or equal sounds like a graphics driver problem. All you needed to do was boot up in safe mode and remove the gfx driver and the OS would have rebooted with the default driver and then you could have reinstalled it

Aspire 5100

Has memory been added to this laptop recently or any changes been made?

the irq error/bluescreen is mainly due hardware issue and most of the time in my experience, memory.

Re-seat your Ram, go into the bios and reset all back to factory defaults. Unplug all devices, as well.
