How do you know when to water an orchid plant?

Orchids like moisture or humidity most of the time depending on the type of Orchid you have. Remove old leaves + dead roots + feed it food especially for orchids.

I have a fish tank, which has a moss ball and two shrimps in it, and there is also lots of wee snails. Recently I have noticed there is a web like thing over my plastic plants.

if you have a heater running in the tank over time the water will go down.
depending on what snails you have will depend on the breeding.
if the snails started to show after you put the moss ball in then yes they have come from that.

How to do a search for plants along a walkway?

You can visually widen a walkway by planting a wider section on either side with low-growing plants, and graduating up to taller plants further back from the walk. A walkway that has 12" plants running along the side is going to "feel" narrower than one with low-growing sedum or groundcover stretching 2 feet beck on either side before blending into taller plants, which will feel wider. To search for plants to fit the bill, don't use search words that describe the walkway, but that describe the size of the plants you want. "Ground cover", "low growing", "creeping", for example.

I have a 40 gal. freshwater planted aquarium. I would like to know if the Fluval CO2 88 will be large enough for my aquarium. Most plants I use are mosses, crypts, water sprite wendi (sp) & several...

I am no expert with CO2 but i would say that for the amount of plants you have going by the picture vs the amount of fish you shouldnt really need the CO2 at all.
One way to naturally increase CO2 is to run less or no bubbles in the day while the plants are using the CO2 and producing Oxygen and then run bubbles over night to clear out the CO2 the plants produce at night to okeep it safe for the fish.

How can a butterfly help a plant and how does the plant help the butterfly.

If this is a serious question, then i shall attempt to answer it. Butterflies help plants by gathering pollen on their bodies and antennae while consuming nectar form a flower (which, incidentally, is how the plant helps the butterfly - by feeding it). The butterfly then flies off to another flower for more food and tranfers the pollen to this plant, enabling pollenization (fertilization) which is how plants produce fruit (which benefits animals like us humans) and create seeds to reproduce. It is win-win-win.

i wish you all the best on your quest for information and philosophising.

Butterflys are eating everything in my garden, what can i do about it

butterflies don't eat anything. Their caterpillars do though. You will have to either spray your plants or find the caterpillars and remove them
