I bet you have replaced a screen or opened the DS. The ribbon cables for the screens have to be securely located and ALL THE WAY into the holders otherwise the DS lights to show an error. the ribbon cable error looks like this when you power on--- Dim green for a second then bright pulse green then off.
If this is happening its a cable error RE-SEAT even if you think they are. If you get that error it is deffinately cable.

SOURCE: Nintendo DS won't power on

PJ If youve installed the sc OS following instructions from http://eng.supercard.cn/soft_scdsone.htm , leaving the "MSFORSC.NDS" file and "scshell" folder at the root of the card then chances are the Card itself is bad. This is not uncommon and happens especially after a few dumps. If its not to old try an exchange or see if a friend has one and attempt theres in your system.

SOURCE: My sons nintendo ds wont turn on, when we charge

yes it is fixable sounds like your fault is with the top screen are the hinges ok has it been dropped.

most green light and screen flashes point to a defective screen or connection on the mother board or sometimes fuses. id start with checking the motherboard connection if its ok check the fuses if all is ok buy a new top screen and replace it.

SOURCE: Nintendo DS won't power-up

It sounds like a faulty battery. As it is under 1 year old, it is still under warranty. Return it to the origional place of purcase, who will either fix or replace it.

I plug in my ds lite charger the light comes on for a split second then goes off? any ideas?

Try shaking the DS, not too hard and if you hear something loose inside then you should send it in to Nintendo. Also, could be just a faulty charger cable. Try another cable see if it works.

Try looking for the Nintendo DS fuse problem here in fixya.

If your DS is still covered by warranty then contact the nintendo customer service before doing any custom repair.
