Is it on an extension cord? Take it off any extension cords and make sure it's on a dedicated 120v circuit. No other items on the circuit. Also, how old is it? Precor made a bunch of the 9.3x series from 2002-2005 with an aluminum tail roller that can cause problems. Check the back roller. Is is silver and non-magnetic? if that's the case, you have an aluminum roller and you need to contact precor. If you're the original owner of the machine, they should warranty the replacement of the parts, if not, you'll have to buy at the very least a running belt and new roller.
The front roller of Precor 9.35 is also made of aluminum. All that is needed is the replacement of the running belt and board. Check also the electronic control board.
The rear roller has nothing to do with this problem. I had my 9.35 for 10 years before I experienced this power cutting off issue.
If the rear aluminum roller is causing this problem, why you also have to change the front roller to a steel one. So, replace the running belt and/or the board. If that doesn't do it, the power control board should be the culprit.

There was also a problem with the MCB - the circuit board that controls the motors. It would cause the breaker to trip prematurely. Call Precor to see if your MCB or roller(s) are eligible for upgrade.

Chances are the treadmill started by shutting off in the middle of a workout and has gradually gotten to the point that it will not run long, or turn on at all, in some cases. This is most likely caused from a worn deck and belt. If the belt and deck is not routinely waxed, it wears down and causes friction. This friction builds up heat which can fry your electronics. The machines circuit breaker shuts the machine down to protect the major electronic components. This protective measure, built in by the manufacturer, will only help for so long. After a few times of shutting down due to the heat, it actually does damage to the electronics. The result and correction usually ends up being a new deck, a new running belt, and in most cases that have gone on too long, the motor control board. I have the same issue - about 20 minutes into my workout it does the same thing - I have to turn the front switch on. Then after it happens once, it only takes about 4 minutes and it would do it again. I would never suspect the back roller to cause the power switch to turn off.
