Anonymous Posted on Jun 19, 2010

Westinghouse LTV-32w1 just stopped working during the middle of a tv program. I've checked the power cable and wall outlet (both good). No power uo (no lights, nothing). Repair or replace?

OK, I have found a couplke of suppliers for the power supply board. Is there anything I need to know about opening up the tv? Is it as simple as removing the 8 screws from the back panel and separating the back from the front?

    Thanks for any help...

I have never opened up a TV before; but I have opened up a few computers. I think I'll give this one a try. Thanks for the advice on taking notes - I think I'll take a few digital pictures to remember "what goes where" for reassembly. BTW I found a supply board at Discount-Merchant.com. They seem to have a fairly good reputation. Thanks again for your advice and help.

My westinghouse tv does not turn on at all. It worked one day, then the next it never turned on again. It has a little orange light on in the front. What should I do?

If the problem is same with different input devices and you have ensured the are no loose contacts in power outlet, RC jack, cable and sockets, the TV needs servicing.

Check to see if you have 24vdc at the inverter board fuse as shown in the picture, the problem can be the inverter board or power supply board.
