There are 3 different LEDs on the front of this televison. The TIMER will blink green. The STATUS will blink orange and the LAMP will flash red or orange depending on if there is a failure or if the lamp timer is showing over 5000 hours.
If I answer your question directly and the status is blinking a steady orange light, then you have left the side filter cover or the front lamp cover off or they are loose.
Also holding the menu and device buttons together until the timer light blinks will reveal a code that will help in diagnosing your problem. Goodluck.
you probably had a power bump, unplug tv for 1 hour turn back on and hit the reset button, if the green light quits blinking your good to go. If not you might have capacitors gone bad not cool.
Thats a common problem when the caps on the DM need replacement. They will function fine untill power is interupted then the set will not complete the boot sequence when power is reapplied and the led will just continue to blink. Hers a link to the kit that will usually repair that issue the kit comes with instructions. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/product_info.php/pName/v21v19-mitsubishi-dm-repair-kit/cName/repair-kits
My Mitsubishi WS-73713 had the same blinking green timer light problem and would not turn on. I tried the reset button and unplugging power to no avail. I found that by simultaneously holding down the remote control "power" button and "volume" button for about 30 seconds the blinking light would go out and a solid green light would come on. Even though the solid green light came on the unit would still not power up. After doing this several times however the unit did finally power up in a normal mode and appears to be working again. It's worth trying before calling in for an expensive repair. PS - From here on out I'm sticking with SONY or Toshiba sets which have given be great service.
