I have the men's version of A152e it was given to me by my mother before she passed away.i want to get it running again.can you repair it or recommend a shop here in Chicago that can fix it

Adria it will be very difficult to find the dial and parts to get it going. YOU might be lucky if only cleaning can get it going but without a dial? Also check with manufacturer for help due to sentimental values.

That is what Timex does, they usually never repair the watches only send a similar replacement watch. Did you try to call them and notify them of the problem? The phone number for timex product service is 1-800-448-4639 or 1-800-367-9282, they should have at least notified you they were sending a replacement. Sorry about your trouble hope this helps.

The best place to sell could be eBay. You can put up your own price or let the auction run. Do not be afraid to give the numbers, because without that particular watch they have no use at all. If you want to get proper estimate - visit your nearest watch repair shop and ask for detailed information. They must be able to assist you with that.

I presume that you are winding the watch 24 hours to change the date.

You can shorten the time it takes to change the dates in the following manner:-

Wind the watch until the date changes, then turn it back until it passes 12 again and then turn it forward. Each time it passes 12 the date should increase by a day.

You may have to experiment to find how far past 12 in both directions to get the date to change.

You have to speak to your nearest DKNY distributor - they might help you and carry out necessary repairs. Alternatively visit your nearest watch repair shop and ask if they can help.

Is the stem broken near the crown? Or do you think there is enough stem to take out of crown? If not you probibly will have to go to a watchmake (NOT a watch repairman) to make you the stem. If there is enough metal to take stem out of the crown you may be able to get someone to solder the stem back together. I do that reguarly with stems that are vintage, and I don't want have the time to remake the whole stem. Let me know. Good Luck!!!!
