suggest fresh gas and check your fuel filter in tank , then I would probably make sure that none of your fuel lines have cracks, then all else fails you will have to remove your carb and dissasemble it and clean it out ,probably partially plugged from old gas, hope I helped you
Most two
stroke engines in weed eaters require a premixed fuel combination of gasoline
and two cycle oil. I am assuming you have a gas model which needs a gas and oil
mixture. A possible problem is the choke is turned on, and once it
starts you need to move the choke to run. Another possible problem is the gas
oil mixture is incorrect, and you may need to remix the fuel to the
manufactures recommendation.
If it runs with the choke closed then it's not getting enough gas. Check the gas filter on the end of the gas line in the gas tank. Remove the gas cap and using a piece of wire with a hook on the end, reach in the tank and pull the gas line out through the opening. Check the filter on the end of it. You could also have a burst-eddiaphragm in the carburetor. This sucks the gas from the tank to the carb. If that's the case a new weed eater may be in order unless you can find someone with the parts to repair it. Also check the gas lines for leaks or breaks, 2 of them.
I have the same problem. It will run if I put it halfway between Half Choke and Full Choke. But, just dies if I put it on Run or Half Choke. Don't ever loan your WE to anyone, They might just try to run it on straight gas--That is what happened on another week eater that I had.
you need to replace fuel filter inside the fuel tank . fish it out with and empty tank using a coat hanger and a small hood bent on the end.filters are around $9.00
